When my dad passed away many years ago, our family set up a fund to provide clothing for children in the school district. With the help of the community, organizations, and so many special people, it has grown substantially, from just 10 children to over 500. Every year, they have the shopping spree for the kids, who get new clothes and shoes and backpacks for the school year. And every Spring they have the fundraiser dinner. This year the hall was packed, and back in my hometown, I got to see all my family, my extended family, and so many dear friends from high school. It was a great time. I just got home, and am resting up, but this is a picture of me and the girls at the dinner. Have a splendid week, and I'll share more later.

I love this! A memorial that blesses others and your family as well. I know your dad would have been so pleased to know that even in his death, he is doing good for so many children. Hi Sheri. The fundraiser and clothing distribution is one of the nicest things I've heard of to do in memory of a loved one. Your Dad must be so happy, looking down from the other side of life.
