Just Because

Welcome Fall.  I've been waiting for you.

Pinterest

It's been downright cold in the mornings and evenings, in the 40's, here in the mountains of northern California.  I had to turn my heater on over the weekend, and I washed my throw so it will be ready to use.

My son went into the city on his day off from work, and he brought me back a pecan pie.  What is it about pecan pie that I love so much?

Italian sausage is always good for dinner.

One of my favorite snacks is tuna on crackers with a slice of pickle.

Luca the kitty snuggling up to Nel after the football game.

I bought this blouse for my travels coming up.  I like the floral design and the way it flares at the bottom.

This will be a short post today, as I'm just getting ready to see my little Charlotte, and have lots to do.  She's smiling already.

I told uncle b that I would be sure to take the bear he got for her.  He's so cute with his big head and small body.

Truth is, I do not like to travel, it gives me much anxiety.....but what are ya going to do?  Lots of praying until I return, that's what.

It's officially Fall, enjoy the season.

I know you will have a great time! You look so pretty in the new blouse! That smile on little Charlotte, doesn't that mean she has seen an angel? I used to hear that about babies smiling.

Aunque estamos ya en otoño, por aquí persiste un ambiente muy cálido, que nos permite continuar con la ropa de verano. Las temperaturas máximas de esta semana, están entre los 33º y los 37º C.
Feliz semana

Anything for the grandbabies thought right? Wishing you safe travels.
I used to really like pecan pie as well as carrot cake.. but my son has a nut allergy so I get to sample these treats very rarely.

Prayers for your traveling. I know what you mean.

I love the fall photos that you have posted. And fall is here, and you are ready to cuddle with your blanket.

One of my favorite pie's is pecan - I LOVE IT!

What do you do with your Italian Sausage - put it in a bun - add peppers and onions?

Liked the tuna, cracker and pickles too.

That bear is so cute - but not as cute as the baby!

Happy Travels to see your adorable Charlotte!
Have a wonderful time.

Pecan pie. In Burlington Vermont there was a restaurant that served pecan chocolate chip pie that was spectacular. Plain old pecan pie with vanilla ice cream is a favorite.

I roosts looking forward to fall and it hit us real fast. It's been raining and in the high 50's for the past 3 days. The house was damp and cold so we put on the heat a little sooner than expected. Your new top is pretty. Enjoy your tine with the baby.

Hi Sheri, your new blouse is lovely; I really like the colour combination and have one in similar tones. Look at little Charlotte with the cute smile. She is a Winner. You know the season has changed when you need the heater and the throw - welcome to your beautiful Fall. Travel can be daunting - be safe and take care. x

Happy travels! Her smile makes it worth it. She definitely looks like her sister.
Oh pecan pie is so yummy and gooey! I love it, but usually only make on for Thanksgiving. Cute top, it looks perfect on you.

Oh, what a sweet post. Charlotte looks like you. I can totally see the resemblance. She is so cute and that little smile is captivating. You are BLESSED Sherri and I know you know that.

I do hope you enjoy your trip to see the grandchildren. I know about anxiety - although I am much better than I used to be I still get anxious and now it's when we are going to travel. That is a new one I am trying to overcome. I used to love to travel. Now it's just a lot of work that stresses me out (reservations, packing, planning) that I no longer enjoy. If I could just GO...without all the planning - buy clothes there and then donate them when I leave...so I wouldn't have to haul them back. Plus I used to love planes and now, they have become annoying. I no longer enjoy being packed in an airplane - I get off and it takes my body a day to stop hurting. And don't get me started about leaving my pets...lol

So enjoy your time with family - give the grand a lot of hugs and kisses and most importantly, make those special memories!

BTW, love your new top and you are so young to be a Grandma.

You love pecan pie because it was the best pie ever invented! Yes, cherry is good. But pecan? Fabulous! I love all the photos and your cute blouse and what a grand time you will have meeting Ms. Charlotte! Safe travels, my friend -- it will be terrific!

I have anxiety before starting travel. Once the travel has begun, excitement overcomes anxiety and I realize that anxiety was a mask of my laziness. I must go out more often. lol
Happy autumn to you and your family!

Hello, Dear Sheri, I have been gone awhile from blogging, so I am catching up and I want to say, congratulations on your darling little grand-baby! So happy for you and your family!
Love your new top and you look so pretty wearing it.
I am always so surprised at how fast fall arrives, especially this year. Seems we went from summer to fall overnight, but time seems to be moving faster the older I get. Traveling is stressful, and I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
The joy of cuddling your new little granddaughter will make it all worthwhile. Baby breath is sweet. Sending hugs xo K
