So Cal Trip

Well, I just got home from So Cal visiting with all the family, and I've been washing clothes and getting the house back in order again.  On the way there, I had a window seat, and on the way back, I had an isle seat with no one in between, which was nice, as it gave me and the other passenger more room.  Although, both of them were night flights, which made it a bit spooky.

Charlotte is so precious, and I literally held her for most of the time I was there, so it was hard when it was time to leave, but I'll see her again soon.  She is one of the sweetest babies I've ever held, smiling often, hardly ever cried, and good natured.

I got to love up Francesca and Mia, and they sure are getting big and developing their own little personalities.

I stayed at Jess' house the whole time, but Nel came over and spent a few days as well, so I got to see the whole family.  I'll show you some of the things we did on my trip, and some of Jess' Fall decor in her home next time.  We did a lot of shopping - Home Goods, World Market, Target, the book store.  I bought Jess a spice scented candle at Target and Nel a gold glittery reindeer at Home Goods.  And I always bring goodies home from World Market.  There is a charming shopping center near Jess' house, and the rose bushes are so pretty and well taken care of.  I thought this color was unusual.

Any uneasiness I felt about traveling seemed to vanish the moment I held this little bundle of goodness.

Until then, keep smiling.

You are back already? It seems like you just left.
My goodness you sure did get a lot of things done in that time.
Shopping, visiting, and holding that precious baby. I just looked at her tiny hand and was just in amazement of God.
Then you got to see the two other little one and the two big girls - so nice that you all have each other.
That coral rose was gorgeous!
Well I am glad you are back and had a safe trip and a wonderful visit.

Oh Sheri, Charlotte is a beautiful baby! I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. Holding a newborn baby is one of the sweetest things that life offers! Your other two grands are darling and getting so grown up. I think when a new baby comes the other children look so big. Those roses are gorgeous and I agree such a pretty color. It's wonderful you were able to visit with your girls and their families! Welcome home, my friend!

Aww, what a lovely happy Grandma picture. Charlotte is a darling, her face is filling out already. So pleased you are having plenty of visits to see her grow; it is the most precious thing. Those roses are indeed a pretty, and unusual colour and I love them. Night flying is a bit spooky, isn't it, but it lets you have more special day time with your sweet granddaughters.

Oh Sheri Charlotte is beautiful. I am so glad you got to visit and enjoy those precious moments. Sounds like you really had a wonderful time with your daughters and grandchildren. Yes I love the rose color as well. Would make a lovely painting.
Your question about a killing frost Sheri...sometimes we have light frosts that do not kill the flowers or veggies...they slow things down but there may remain fruit and flowers. A killing frost is heavy and everything goes. It also seems to add to the brilliance of the color of our fall foliage also.
Thank you always for your visits and your lovely comments. Have a great weekend. Hugs!

Sheri,
How exciting to have a new baby to bond with and hold. All of the children are adorable and sounds like you had a wonderful time. I like the aisle seat on a plane. I feel too closed in at the window seat. Your photos are lovely and especially the roses. Have a good week and welcome back. Judee
