Bellagio, Italy

Nel just took a wonderful trip to Italy, and I wanted to share some of her adventure with you, as she said it was the most beautiful place she's ever been to.....Bellagio.

They tried to count the lily pads in the reflecting pool at the Villa.

They sipped on Aperol Spritz in a shady courtyard, while the turtles sunned themselves in the hot golden rays at the day's end.

The Basillica of St. Giocomo, an 11th Century Catholic Church.  How I'd love to attend Mass there.

The cool of the lake after a half day climbing up and down cobblestone stairs.

Mia on the rocks.  Looks like she's standing on a huge dinosaur.

Lake Como

A little restaurant nestled in an alleyway in one of the hilly staircases leading up from the city center.

An assortment of pizzas and pastas arrived at the table.  Mia is enjoying her pasta.

Mia overlooking their balcony where they stayed.  Nel got her a little Bellagio outfit.  ; )

Nel said it was an amazing trip!  And so blessed to have experienced it.

Dearest Sheri,
You never can go wrong with a trip to Italy and its history is divine!
WISH we had had more time for exploring this country while working and living there in 1989...
Hugs,
Mariette

Wow, she got wonderful photos! My favorite is the second one, plus all those houses on the lake. Our granddaughter just returned from there, and said her favorite thing was their gelato!

Oh Sheri, Nel's trip looks amazing! Italy is so beautiful. Such lovely photos of Nel and her family! Mia is a fortunate little one to enjoy such exotic travel at such a young age. Lovely photos of the turtles. And Mia is a darling child!

I do agree with everyone - Italy is such a special place and the photos of it are gorgeous. I wish I could go!
Why did they go - for a vacation or business? Nice.
Love the same walkway with all those steps and the ivy on the wall.
The mountains in the background. The lily pads. Fountains. The Catholic Church is big and beautiful.
And I love the turtles.
Mia looks like she is having a wonderful time.
That is a gorgeous picture of Nel with the wind blowing in her hair!
Thanks for sharing!

Different places have their own foods.
When I see the moon in a foreign country, I feel a little bit strange that the moon there is the same one I see in my country.
