Just Some Stuff

Pumpkin already?  Yes, pumpkin always.  These muffins were so good, and they had the strong taste of nutmeg and pumpkin in them.

My sister sent me a card in the mail.  The words were thoughtful, and it made my day getting a surprise in the mail one afternoon.

The envelope was even creative with written words and stickers.

I washed and put out all my Spring cups.

I always like to try different coffees.  Saw this at the store many times, and finally tried it.  It was really good, and think I'll buy it again.

"Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, make this world a beautiful garden. " ~anon

While driving to the grocery store, I saw a deer in the woods close to the edge of the road.  They are going to start coming around more now that it's getting warmer.

I've been writing in my journal lately.  Some of my blog friends mentioned they had a dream journal.  I'd really like to get one to write down all the unusual things that pop up in my dreams.

It's getting warmer during the days; the mornings are still cold.  I am seeing signs of Spring - the pink blossom trees in town, the green in the fields, and the birds returning to the neighborhood.  A flock of Quail were in my yard yesterday.

Have a lovely week.

So much to comment on I will list them - lol.
Love the animals and birds - deer and quail.
I love you tea cup especially the one that says take care of yourself.
Do start your journal.
I am going to order the three months of coffee this week for my DIL's birthday this April.
I love coffee too - and Starbucks has a great pumpkin bread.
You have a very sweet sister.
My kids are at Disney this week too.
You gotta love those green cupcakes.
Last but not least - I love that table with the card on it - I love eclectic things like that. - in fact I have one sort of similar.
You always have a wonderful blog!

How awesome that you have Quail!! And your deer photo is so good, looks like you are quite close. I LOVE all your mugs, and how you are displaying them! I have a corner shelf like this, and think I will do the same.

I’m far behind keeping up with your blog posts! This one is lovely! We occasionally have deer come through our yard. There is so much development where we are that they are being displaced. We are ready for spring, though we’ve had freeze warnings the past two nights here. This cold period is called “Redbud Winter.” “Dogwood Winter” will be next. Enjoy your coffee!

I forgot you had the different quail...they are soo gorgeous.

If I was to write in a dream journal, it would be practically empty. I seldom remember my dreams. I am lucky to remember one or two dreams a week.

I forgot to say I love your spring cups.

All the photos were so pretty. A feast for my eyes.

Last year or so (I can't remember anymore) I looked outside my bedroom window and there walked 3 Quail - a covey. They are beautiful and unique. No wonder they are our state bird.

I haven't seen any since then. I keep meaning to plant things that might attract them to my yard...I'll have to look that up. They're out there...

I love pumpkin things, yummm!
California quail are always so fun to see. I love them.
I always think I will journal more, but then I only seem to journal when I am upset about something. A dream journal could be fascinating.

Everything is so cozy in your home, Sheri. I like that you have special Spring mugs to use this time of year. That is so neat that you have quail to photograph. And your darling grand at Disneyland is so sweet as is that cupcake! It's been quite cold here the last couple of days, but Spring is quite a tease most years.

Hi Sheri, pumpkin muffins sounds so good, I need to find a recipe for them. I love anything pumpking. That is so sweet to see a deer in the woods. It looks so gentle. I never thought of a dream journal, but during covid I have been having the strangest dreams; I wonder if writing them down helps, as I wish they would go away. Have a good week Sheri.

The muffins sound really yummy. I tried a conchas roll today. We had them at school. It was pretty good. I have my spring dinnerware out year around in my china closet. It is my favorite time of year. I love the pattern. The deer are here along with the wild turkeys. It is definitely spring here! Have a great week Sheri!

Pumpkin anytime any day is good with me HOWEVER, I draw a line at pumpkin tasting coffee. Can't do it. All your adorable cups. Pretty. We reached 80 today with storms blowing in in the next couple hours. Course we all love the night time storms....The furs and I are out on the deck right now and the wind is really picking up. Will be moving this party indoors in a bit. However, right now, it feels amazing. I always love seeing the critters out and about in the woods and around. You said the Quail is your state bird. My dad used to hunt those and I have eaten them. But what I found interesting was when out there in 2018 I saw a blue bird with a feather on the top of its head. I think that is your bluebird/or bluejay? So diff than ours.

Sheri your spring cups bring to mind my dear Mom's collection. She hung a shelf on the kitchen wall to display them. After she was gone my brother and sister in law continued to keep them there. Isn't there something special about drinking a special coffee in a pretty cup? Seeing your pumpkin goodie made me hungry for one as well. For some reason I bake more pumpkin sweets in October and November. Spring makes me think of lemon and I love that too. Your sister's card was lovely and I love the quote she enclosed too. Enjoy the deer and quail as spring arrives at your mountain home. Hugs!
