I got a visit from my brother-in-law last week who brought us some Christmas cheer! He brought over so many goodies from the in-laws - a ham, homemade chili, homemade tortillas, chocolate chip cookies, Russian tea cookies, and a favorite every Christmas, Ferrero Rocher Chocolates.
The chili was so delicious. It had a spicy kick to it. I made some fried eggs to go with it the next morning.
We had a very foggy day, which I love.
My son made another batch of croissants, and I topped them with butter and cranberry jelly.
Now, I've shown you the Pioneer wagon that's on main street in my town during the holidays, but I don't think I've ever shown you it covered in snow. I can just imagine traveling in that wagon in the cold snowy season during my favorite era.
I watched the movie, A Merry Scottish Christmas. These two played brother and sister back in the day in the popular series, Party of Five. A Merry Scottish Christmas was a feel-good movie, lots of joy, and celebrating some Scottish traditions.
I have to show you the Christmas market Nel went to this season with Mia. It was so fun! Lots of sparkly displays, carolers dressed in red and green velvet cloaks, yummy traditional foods and drinks like hot chocolate, mulled wine, Poffertjes (a Dutch dish of small, fluffy pancakes), and gingerbread. There was also artisan shops selling handmade trinkets.
My other babies were sick last week.....and Jess too.
But Francesca felt better over the weekend, and got to go to The Nutcracker with Mia.
My neighbor, F, brought over some homemade fudge. I was craving it, and was so happy to receive some this Christmas. It was such a thoughtful gift.
I've been having a nice Christmas season with magical snow to look at all around me. I can't believe how lovely these snow days have been here in the mountains.
My neighbor's lights through the blinds.
This Eurasian Collared Dove came to visit me this Christmas.

Merry Christmas friends!
You are dear to me.

Oh so many pretty festive photos! Starting with your granddaughters - so adorable. It’s always nice to see their smiling little faces!
I watched that movie last week! It was cute.
Love that beautiful photo of the dove - enlarge it and frame it! It’s gorgeous as well as the snow covered wagon. That could be a Christmas card!
The chili and eggs looks delicious. Must be a California thing - I like it too!
The snow looks magical. We’re looking at rain and you might be getting more snow. We’re thinking about driving up to Mt Shasta so Laydee can romp in the snow.
Love love love this time of year. We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful area.
Merry Christmas Neighbor! You are such a blessing and your blog is always a delight to read.

I have always wanted to go to a Christmas Market, and this one looks like the best I have seen! I love the snow-covered wagon! Why is everything always so silent in the fog? I love it, too! Merry Christmas!
What a beautiful Christmas post. I love it - so much happiness and color. Your neighbor goes way out, doesn't she? Hope the kids are feeling better. I guess you will not be going to LA. What a nice group of gifts you received. I never thought of putting or making an egg with the chili - but that sounds good. We had some real foggy weather a few days ago too. And lastly, I watcher a Merry Scottish Christmas too! IT was good!
Wow! Everything looks so festive and wonderful. The Pioneer wagon covered in snow is special. How thoughtful of your brother-in-law to bring you the Christmas Cheer. I'm sure you enjoyed it all. Merry Christmas to you.
You do live in a beautiful area! I love your photos of the snow. I bet the Christmas market was a blast for the girls.
We had two or three of those collared Doves come to our house about three years ago. I had not seen them in real life nor have I seen any since.
Your area looks like a winter wonderland Sheri! So festive and beautiful blanketed in snow! Your son's baking looks so yummy. And so does the fudge from your neighbor. Sorry to hear part of your family has been ill, but glad to hear they are well now. Nel's trip to the Christmas market looks wonderful. Sending you Christmas blessings my friend!
Wow, it is beautiful in your area, especially under snow. It all looks wonderfully festive and ready for Christmas. What nice treats you have there, especially the fudge: Yum! I will look out for the Merry Scottish movie over the season. Little girls going to the Nutcracker is great - I can't wait to take my little granddaughter in a few years. It is on every year in Brisbane. Merry Christmas dear Sheri.
Everything looks wonderful Sheri, and it looks so Christmas-y where you are. Absolutely beautiful! Such fun to see all the goodies made and given. Lovely photos of your dear grands. I hope your family are feeling better now, and they will be 100 percent by Christmas. Thank you for sharing about the movie also. I have seen it and was wondering. Thank you for all the great posts and visits you’ve made. It’s been lovely getting to know you through blogland. A Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Merry Christmas dear.
Merry Christmas my dear Sheri.
