Distinguished Robin

I had a phone appointment last week, and I happened to get a good and honest and helpful representative.  It was the kind of appointment that had you answering many questions, with names and dates that go back to the early years.  So, while I am gathering up what is needed, this will be a shorter post filled with nature and a few pictures and quotes, and hopefully one of them will put a smile on your face.  It was sunny all week, and the Robins are showing their pretty coats of orange on my lawn.  One sat still when I got in my car, and just stayed on a tree stump for a few moments.  I call them brave birds, as they don't scare too easily, or fly away like the other birds.  I've been seeing these red bushes in the neighborhoods, and not sure what they are, but so pretty.  And a visit to the coffee shop to get my favorite carrot muffin.

Dearest Sheri,
That flowering Quince in your neighborhood is sure looking stunning.
Too bad that from the entire year, this show lasts but a few weeks...
Robins are more braven indeed.
Hugs,
Mariette

Wonderful photos, Sheri. Just great! You are a super photographer. Loved the ones of Robin Redbreast! He/she looked very regal.
The one of Sammy Squirrel makes me so glad I don't see too many of those in the new place. In the past, in my former home, those little brats dug up more of my flower bulbs than I'd want to count.
And they wiped out quite a few bird feeders until I finally found a squirrel-proof one.
Loved the red tulip shots. Made me think of a song we used to sing about them. It started out "Hey, look in the garden bed, something beautiful is growing..." I'm sure if you Google that, you could hear the whole lovely little ditty.
Oh, I'd like to scarf that carrot muffin, oh yeah. Munch munch munch. Yummy. Have a sweet week, dear Sheri. Hugs. Susan

As I settle in with my morning coffee, I would really enjoy that carrot muffin! How pretty those red tulips are! I also like the red fire hydrant photo. The robins are adorable.!I don’t see any like that down here - I use to have a couple of squirrels that drove my dog and cat batty. I couldn’t keep Laydee from chasing them and they moved on. No squirrels at my place anymore which is probably why we have so many birds.
Boy isn’t it the truth - we used to look like those girls! Now not so much. 😜 Oh well aging happens to the best of us.
Have a beautiful week and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. It’s been very warm! 🌹🥀

I wish I knew what this red bush is! Yes, it seems no other bird acts as tame as the robin. Wonder why, could it just be the bird's personality? I love your first quote about stillness, I have never read it put in this way. Are these your beautiful tulips? I think so. Do the squirrels bother them? I hope your phone business turns out successful!

I like your blooming flowers.
Here the red bush has already shed its flowers.
So do most tulips.
The squirrel is very cute, so are the birds.
Thank you🌷!

The last photograph of Grandmas...brings the biggest smile!
It is joyful to remember that I wore clothes that short. It even makes me laugh. Thank you!

You made me smile!!
I enjoyed the quote "Quiet Observation is often one of the our greatest teachers."
I love that!!! Thank you for sharing.

Ernie my dog says... " I probably would lift my leg on that lovely red fire hydrant." LOL

Oh my goodness - your lack of words and I have so many words.
Hope you got to gather all your information.
Those Robins look so big and beautiful. I am finally getting birds - I am so happy. I guess it took them awhile to find the seed.
The squirrel brings back memory of our house - and how many times they got in the attic and how much money we spent getting them out.
The carrot muffin looked so good - just like carrot cake.
Did you see the bee in your flower photos? That was so cool. The flowers were beautiful.
I love the "Quiet Observation is often one of our greatest teachers." That is so true sometimes we just have to be quiet and think before we react.
Quiet Voices.
And I love The Wizard of Oz - the aqua door is perfect with the ruby red shoes.
And believe it or not I d id look like those gals at one time - my kids wouldn't believe it.

You are loved too!

It's nice seeing Spring showing her lovely colors in your area, Sheri! The robin photos are so sweet. They really don't scare easily, like you said. Your muffin is making me want a snack--that looks so good. Have a happy week, my friend.

Hi Sheri,
The red flowering plant is a Quince. It is really a pretty one. We have robins here and I always try and see where they fly off to. I always wanted to see their nest. Just 6 more weeks of school. I can't believe it!
Have a wonderful week!

It sounds like you had a productive phone appointment and enjoyed some lovely moments with nature during the sunny week! Robins are indeed brave birds, and it's always nice to see them around. The red bushes you spotted in the neighborhoods must have added a pop of color to the scenery. And treating yourself to your favorite carrot muffin from the coffee shop sounds like a delightful way to brighten your day. Enjoy those little moments of joy!

Sheri such a fun post...first and foremost the photo of those grandmas and great grandma's had me smiling. Did we really wear our dresses that short!! It certainly takes me back memory lane. All your spring blooms must be such a welcome sight. The one of the coral bush looks like my flowering quince. That peachy color is just stunning...rare to find flowers quite that color. So glad you are seeing spring at last. Well take care friend. Always enjoy my visits to your special place in the world.

The red fire hydrant caught my eye, as well as the orange robin. I am a big fan of mixed media art and the one you posted is so pretty. The muffin looks so tasty....I am a muffin kind of person, no matter what flavor. Sure enjoyed all of the lovely photos and I always look forward to your post...

Hello Sheri, good to learn you had a nice representative. Glad to also know you had nice weather. Always good to see the robins return. Loved the fire hydrant photo! Those red bushes are gorgeous and the muffin looks very, very yummy! Loved the quotes with their pretty illustrations also and I think you know how much I enjoy those beautiful flowers. The grandma photo really puts it in perspective, made me smile remembering the mini-skirts I used to wear. Were they really that short? Yes they were! Thank you my friend and have a wonderful evening and a happy Sunday.

May is my favorite month too! The birds start their songs even before the sun rises! So many scents are in the air and every day new and new flowers, trees and bushes bloom! The red bush in your picture is a Japanese quince. We have it too. The fruits are small but very aromatic and can be made into tea. There are no robin birds in Bulgaria, and I enjoyed your photos! They are apparently very sociable and not shy.
