Where The Road Takes Me

I have just been getting ready for my short trip to see my best friend, getting essentials and making sure I have everything for the road.  I needed a purse cause my old one ripped, and found a cute one on-line, which Nel ordered for me.  The big beads are really in right now, and I like the soft material it has.

Nel and Renecke visited the winery for a day trip, along with her sister-in-law and some others.  She had a fun time, and it was good to get away from her work and other duties that pile up.

Do you know southern California and northern California have some of the loveliest wineries?

I ran into a woman in town that I've known since I moved here.  We talked for a long time.  She is really a genuine lady and does so much for others.  I met her at the grocery store, where she picks up groceries for people who aren't able to do it themselves.  She is at the store nearly every day!  It was good catching up with her.  She told me to stop by her house this Spring and Summer, and we could sit on the front porch and have a drink and talk.  She lives in town, where I live on the outskirts of town, closer to the woods.  She said to just go down this road, and you'll see the little yellow house.  I think I will do that.

Speaking of yellow, I found some pretty yellow wrapping to wrap a few goodies that me and uncle b. bought the kids.

A batch of chocolate chip cookies always makes the day better.

The month of March went pretty fast, and we've had sunny days, but it's still really cold in the mornings, in the 20's and 30's.  I noticed some geese near the road while driving, so stopped for a moment.  I am starting to see them come around more.

And some pink at Jess' house.  She found these bunny cookies at a really good bakery in her town.

Such a sweet post, Sheri. I think it's wonderful you are going to visit with a dear, long-time friend. It's cold here in western Massachusetts still. In the 30s upon rising today. When are you going on your excursion? Hope you have a safe and lovely trip and that you have FUN!

So much here to love today! First, WHERE did you find this awesome purse? I love it! And the cookies are so pretty. I also love the tiny stone Easter bridge; where did you get that? Because I want it! Let us know when you get together with the food shopping lady!

Oh my goodness girl I love that purse. How sweet of your daughter. I hope you have a fabulous trip and prayers for safe travel.
You should also go visit the lady you talked to in the yellow house - the more friends the better. Yellow paper says spring.
Love chocolate chip cookies!! You know we went past our new rental yesterday and there were a couple of geese there - I bet they will go away as the subdivision gets built. :(
The pink flower made me happy and the pink rabbit cookies.

That is some fancy purse. I've not ever seen one like that. I'm not into purses anymore due to my shoulder - I carry a crossover - the smallest one I can find. I do own a few "dressy" ones though. In my younger days, I loved shoes and purses - now, just the shoes.

Have fun with your friend.

I live just down the road from a winery - When I was a child, my parents used to take us to the wine country a lot. It seemed like a different country back then - now it is crowded and full of tourists. I liked it better back then.

Your friend's porch and front door colors are my favorites. Love it. I bet that would be a nice place to sit and sip lemonade.

I like the photos of the geese - Take care. Oh and the cookies look good, too

Good morning Sheri! March has spun out of control and is out of here! I'm glad; March, no matter what state I've lived in (Massachusetts,California, Minnesota)is not my favorite month because of the high winds and ice. But April should take us down new roads of wonder and friendships!

Your trip will be a nice break from this long winter, Sheri. I love your new purse - it's just the right size and can be casual or fancy. Those chocolate chip cookies look so good. I wish I had one right now. The winery photos are so pretty, and your daughter and son-in-law look very happy and relaxed. My 2 daughters and 2 daughters-in-law just went on a wine tour here in WA over the weekend. I think this time of year everyone feels the need to take a break from the grind of everyday life. I've been to the wineries in Sonoma and that was a wonderful experience. So nice to see the geese - they are so pretty. Maybe you will get to see some hatchlings soon. Hope you have a wonderful time with your friends and make sure you take lots of pictures to share with us. Sending hugs xo K

That purse is adorable. I don't carry one any more and end of with my day pack most of the time. (in a store, I just have my phone in my pocket) It's fun to plan a trip. Enjoy your week!

Dear Sheri, You have found a gorgeous purse for your trip, it looks so soft and stylish. A yellow house always appeals to me - I see them when we visit our daughter in Canada. It is not common to paint houses bright colours here. I see the geese are still dropping in, I suppose on their annual migration. I wish I could find some pink bunny cookies, they are so cute and the grandchildren would love them!
