Dreams

We had some exceptionally cold days last week, and I just stayed inside a lot to try to stay warm.  It's hard to plan anything when it's this cold.   A lady at the store said that it was 11 degrees that morning!  It even snowed on Tuesday!  It was a light snow, but I'll take it.

I have been thinking of Easter and seeing chocolate bunnies and will decorate soon, just a little.  But I won't use the traditional colors of Easter, just cause I'm funky that way.

I'll never fit in.  That's one of my best qualities.

Nature is bare during this cold Winter, and Jan and Feb are the coldest months up here, but I still see the lovely of the season and warm up once again.

I have had the strangest dreams lately.  I believe that when we have a dream, it is sometimes trying to tell us something, warn us, or comfort us.  There are times when I am dreaming, and then one word will come to my mind, and I wake instantly.  Can you tell me anything you know about dreams?

Spring decorating is difficult because it feels so color specific...pastels. Changing it up will be interesting.
Dreams. The majority I have are replay based, from TV shows, activties, reading from the day. The message type require analyzing. Disturbing dreams can take decades to surface in real life. It all makes me wonder how the weave of reality is woven, and importantly, from what. I think in order to learn, dream records needs to be kept. The specifics without comments.

I can't remember most of my dreams. Rarely will one really stick out enough for me to ponder over it.

The mountain is beautiful. Thank you my friend.

It's so beautiful there! Incredibly high mountains! I have a lot of dreams at night, I have always had a lot of dreams. It would be nice if I didn’t dream every night. I may have too lively imagination.

I absolutely love being in the mountains. The scents and cold air are something we never have in a desert climate.

I’m an avid dreamer. My dreams are awesome. I’ve been told that some dreams that tend to be troublesome are a battle between your spirit and soul.

I get blog ideas, diy ideas, solutions to questions I may be pondering. I’ve always been in tune with my dreams since I was old enough to remember.

We’re in 70’s and it’s nice. We were cold last week though in the early mornings. Had to cover our citrus and other tender plants.

That tire swing calls to me, but that snow and cold can go. Dreams can be the workingsof a creative mind, or a reminder of something that needs to be tended to.

Well, they're not troublesome dreams, just strange, and last through the night, which I don't usually have dreams that last that long. ; )

Hi,
I decorated for Spring and Easter Saturday.
I will start my lent readings and I pray to grow deeper with my time with God.

Please share what you find out about your dreams. I too have had long, strange dreams this past week.

Someone at church today just talked about dreams - said we can control our daytime conscience but during the night we don't have the same control - not sure what it means and hope it was a good one.

I'll never fit in. That's one of my best qualities.

I love that and feel it fits me to a tee.

I've been told that dreams are our brains way of solving issues. I believe that is true mostly, but sometimes it's hard to figure what issue that is! You really are experiencing a cold winter. The weather is certainly unpredictable! Spring is knocking at our door and hopefully it will at your's too, Sheri. I love your photography---the tire swing made me smile and that mountain is gorgeous! Stay warm and cozy and hopefully the chocolate bunny will make it to Easter! Lol

The mts there are just spectacular! Well, one of the reasons I named my blog Lavender Dreams was because I dream every night and I always remember my dreams. In the morning I talk about them if they's been interesting or good. I don't put a lot of value on them though because I don't believe my dreams are the ones I want to come true. They jump all over the place in time and different places. I'll read your comments and see what others things. My Dad always said...don't tell your dreams before breakfast or they will come true! heehee!

You live in a beautiful place, and you have such a lovely way of showing the sweetness of life. I love that quote about not fitting in :) I need to write that one down and frame it! Yes, dreams... they tell us so many things if we can only learn the language. I find that writing them down always helps. While I am writing I seem to be able to figure out the message! I do think that if a dream has been brought to your attention, then it is for a reason. I remember a time when I was questioning the motives of someone that I thought was close to me and I had a very cryptic dream. It was that person, with their child, over for a visit and to my surprise, the child was writing all over my walls! I woke up saying to myself, 'I can't read the writing on the wall.' Dreams give us metaphors or symbols that are sometimes very specific and other times you need to figure them out. Anyway, that is my experience - everyone has their own. Hope you find the message! Sending hugs xo K

I hope even with the strange dreams you get a good night sleep. I haven't dreamt much lately, but not slept well.
Loved your photo of the tire swing, it brings back childhood memories.
Yes, a couple bunnies have made an appearance in my house and I see one little chocolate one has arrived there too. I always love your swan too.

It was cold here too. I don't like the cold very much. Hard to get moving.
I have heard dreams can be related to food you are eating for dinner. Not sure if that is true or not. I also have a lot of dreams. A lot are stressful. I have always had them. Some wake me up at night and I can't go back to sleep. Some are so real it seems like I am awake. It depends on if I am extra tired etc. I enjoy good dreams though. I hope you are able to get some rest. Love your pictures!

I dreamed I was teaching again; I was observing a class with a substitute teacher but the entire class was going nowhere. Kids were talking, playing music and were not on task. I took over the class with strategies that I had learned to get the class engaged. I woke up with a great feeling of actually having done something useful, something that required thinking and challenging moments. I think my dream was a reflection of what I've struggled with in the almost two years now that I've been retired. I have felt useless at times and I fear losing any capacity for creative thinking. I miss learning and teaching in community.

We had some pretty cold days here as well, but not as cold as in your place. I used to ride my bicycle in even colder weather when I was living in Germany - I honestly don't know how I did that. I never got sick, not even a light cold. Of course, I was younger then... Is the snow still there or has it melted by now?

We are starting to see signs of spring popping up out of the ground. Saw daffodils for the first time last week. Love the yellow. Been looking at the trees waiting for signs of leaves to start showing up so far, nothing. Last week was wicked with wet, cold temps but today we are going to hit 76. YAY....

Sheri your artistry with the camera is wonderful. I especially adored the one you captured with the Canada Goose. They are just beautiful birds. Ours has been flying overhead honking as they begin to nest at the nearby ponds. Hope you will soon be seeing some signs of spring.
As for dreams I sometimes think God can be speaking to us and other times maybe not :)! Once and awhile I will dream of my mom or dad and when I awake I am feeling like I had a nice visit with them. Wish I had more of those type of dreams.
Take care friend and have a lovely week. Hugs!

What beautiful views you have, Sheri. And a dusting of snow. I love each and ever image. Oh, and Canada Geese are a favorite (till they poop on my beach but... that's another story!). I love seeing your swan/goose decorated for the season again. He's beautiful. Or she! And I wish I could help you out with dreams... I struggle to remember mine.

For a few years now, I seldom remember my dreams and they used to be so vivid. I remember a few, but not many. I always heard dreaming was your brain's way of unwinding.

Hi Sheri, It's nice to have even a little snow and I too would just enjoy staying in with it that cold outside. I just took down last of winter decorating this past week as even pine cones inside just didn't seem to be what I wanted now. But I think I'll wait until after St. Pat's Day to think about Easter. And if I put your chocolate bunny out now he'd probably have his ears bitten off by bedtime!

My dreams have been very vivid lately too. I think it may be because I've been so brokenhearted over the news from Ukraine.

You live in such a beautiful area, Sheri!

Sheri, it looks beautiful there in the mountains, I can only imagine how cold it is. We are having an unusually warm winter, today it it 75 the weather we should have in June. I am sure that you Easter decor will be beautiful, and a wonderful was to usher in Spring.

I always enjoy your beautiful photos, Sheri.

Someone once told me that souls meet in dreams. I dreamed that my late aunt had dinner with me last night and it's comforting to think that our souls met.

Happy Monday!

So glad you've had more snow since this post. Dreams for me are all over the place. My dreams seem like a blend of daytime thoughts, but distorted. But I've also had some disturbing ones that stuck with me. Nothing seems to make sense once I wake up.

Mellie said...

Such lovely photos. I haven't decorated for Easter in years! I have a box of decorations somewhere but I don't know where. Maybe I will look for them this weekend. I think dreams do mean something. Even if it's a subtle message, there's always a meaning.

All I actually know about dreams is.... When I have a group of very 'bad' dreams, it means I should be dealing with something, which is bothering me. But I am not dealing with it.

Love all there is to read, about dreams though.
