Just Some Happy Things In February

It's really hard to get workers up here in the mountains, so after several tries to different landscapers, my son raked all the leaves, bagged them up, and swept down the walkways.  I was so grateful.

I came across this heart magnet.  It's one of the few things that I didn't label on the back, but I think it was from Jess when she was little.  She was always doing craft projects and making me little things, just like I did for my mom.  I put it on my fridge for Valentine's Day.

Jess made some lasagna soup, and she said it was Yummy!

I don't like to venture out too far up here, cause I'm awful with directions, but I did hear about a river that was close by, and checked it out yesterday, with the help of my son.  ; )  I couldn't take pictures of the river, cause there was no where to park and do that, but it was so pretty.  I did get a few of the creek that runs into the lake.  There's a resting area there with picnic benches.

Tea time with my favorite Palmer chocolate hearts.

A photo of my girls always makes me happy.  I hope to see them soon.

This cake was from January, but just getting around to showing it to you.  Jess and Brian made the most creative cake for Renecke.

Party favors for the women.

Make-up time.

Those are just a few of my happy things in February.

What a wonderful post. I love the pictures of the kids, of course. That feeder into the lake is beautiful. I love pictures like that. I am so glad you have a son to help you. He is a lot like my youngest son. What a blessing!
Do you have GPS in your car? Or maybe you could wear a compass around your neck? LOL. My husband is SOOO directionally challenged. When we moved back to Green Bay when we got married he could not find his way around--and he had spent 22 years of his life here. lol

I hope you have a great week. xo Diana

So many places to explore. I know when spring arrives you will find that little sitting place a perfect get away. Your girls are adorable.

Did your rose change on the top of your blog? I went there and it just felt different. Pretty.
Do you watch Hallmark - did you see the one with Betty White - you HAVE to see it - that heart on your fridge reminded me about it. Excellent.
Do you watch Virgin River - that is what it looks like up in your area with the mountains and rivers - so pretty.
My favorite is the four girls giving you kisses - so sweet.
The 40th birthday cake awesome.
I need someone to rake our leaves!
I always love your blogs!
Love, sandie

Wonderful river. Water brings me so much peace, I could just sit there all day. Sometimes I take a trip to the river just to see if it's still there and soak up the peace.

So nice to have your son close by to help out and spend the day with you, Shari. Of course he is helpful and kind - you raised him! The little lake is so pretty tucked under the trees and it looks like a nice place to return to this summer for a picnic with your girls. Love the photos of them sending kisses and the girlies putting on lipstick. I love that you saved the little heart and take it out to display it. Such a little thing, but means so much, I know. Your chocolate hearts are giving me a craving...I need to go rummage around for something sweet. Hope your week is also sweet. Sending hugs xo K
