Been looking for a place in So Cal for a couple months now, and let me tell you, it hasn't been easy. They don't come around too often, and when you do find something, they are snatched quickly. Found a couple places, but there is always something about them that I don't care for. But I know we'll find something soon if it's meant to be. In the meantime, I needed to take a drive out of town just to clear my head, so I got in my car one day, and off I went. Come along with me, as we see the sights in the country.
The first thing I see
is a row of beautiful Pink blossom trees.
is a row of beautiful Pink blossom trees.
Let's see what's new at Emma's today. I thought this planter was very cool. It would be nice with some Spring flowers in there.
Next, I stop at the bakery to get a fruit Danish. In front of the bakery there is a big bush of dainty purple flowers.
I see the most beautiful white blossom tree standing tall with the sun shining through its branches.
Every time I drive by this pasture I see this fellow, and today he wasn't wearing a mask, so I got to see how handsome he is.
We used to play this school in football, and they always had the best team.....still do. Their football program is excellent.
It got me reminiscing a little. Here's a picture of a fun school day we had during the football season, and I've always thought my friend looked so cute in this picture, far left. That's me on the far right. We borrowed the jerseys from some of the players who were on the team. It seems that we are always looking ahead to the future, so it's nice once in awhile to reminisce.

Looks like a lovely drive. Just what you needed! I love the country a lot more then the city. I just don't like large crowds. I also love horses. I have had several over my lifetime. They make the best friends.(-: Your granddaughter looks so cute ice skating! My granddaughter tried roller skating a month ago and thought it was fun.
What a nice time out in the country, seeing all the pink and white blossoms on trees. My Santa Rose plum has lots of white blossoms which promise plums in the future. Your horse friend is a handsome fellow.

I want to take a ride in the country too!
Are you telling me that YOU played football in high school? I have never heard of girls playing football. How cool is that?
I love the cherry danish, the cherry blossom tree, the white Bartlett pear tree and all your beautiful photos.
Is lavender your favorite color?
Did you buy the planter - it was very pretty.
I enjoyed the trip!

Hi Sheri,
Loved seeing your beautiful photos from your drive in the countryside, the pretty blossom and the lovely horse. Also how neat to look back and reminisce of your school days. The photo of you and your friends is fabulous. How very adorable Francesca is skating and my she has grown up so quickly.
Happy March

Sandie...No, I didn't play football. It was just a fun picture on Sports Day in high school. We borrowed the jerseys from friends or boyfriends who played on the team, and we all ran to get in the picture for the yearbook haha.

What a lovely drive in the country. I love all the soft blossoms this time of year. I have the little purple flowers growing her at my house. Wow! ice skating already. I guess it is good to start them out young.
Oh my! Ice skating? Already? That is amazing! And I loved our drive in the country too. You sure have some beautiful showy trees...signs of Spring! We saw quite a few wildflowers along the roadsides yesterday. Enjoy your week!
Sending hugs Sheri, the idea of moving is difficult. I have a dear friend who is moving. She is cleaning, packing and downsizing her home now. It is not easy. She also takes time to clear her mind.
Thank you for the lovely photos of the blooms.
What a beautiful drive in the country, Sheri! Love seeing all the pretty flowering trees and sweet old horse. I had ponies once upon a time and I loved their velvet muzzles and the scent of their hay breath. Such cute photos of you in your jersey with your friends. Those school-days went by so fast, didn't they? I hope you find your new home soon. I know the perfect one is just waiting for you. How darling is that little one learning to skate! It's one milestone after another....Sending hugs and happy March! xo Karen

Oh Sheri, it looks like you are on the move. It is hard work and time consuming to relocate, and I wish you good luck in your search. Your country drive is beautiful - the Spring flowers, the cute horse, the pretty purple blooms and your gorgeous lavender wallet. Ice skating!! What a clever, dear little girl is Francesca :)
Good morning dear, dear Sheri!
You and I are alike; I love my own company and if I could, I'd probably take more trips alone in my car and go looking for adventure. What a glorious grove of color in those cherry blossoms! We have similar outstanding trees that are crabapples, with these same amazing pink or white flowers.
Dear heart, I wish you success in finding a place in California. I don't need to tell you how hard it is but I believe that God will assist you because He knows exactly what you need.
Be well and continue to find that unexpected beauty in the every day.
Sheri,
I think that's why journaling/blogging is so important because it's gives us the opportunity to go back in time and enjoy things in our past. Especially memories with the people and relationships we created.
{Would love to visit Emma's!} These are wonderful shots. Love the horse and the football group picture! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you had a lovely drive.
Those cherry blossoms look beautiful.
And look at that cutie on skates!!
Wow, how beautiful the trees are there!!
I can practically smell those blooming trees and they are gorgeous. Yet another good reason to live in SoCal! That little one on skates is another!
Hi sheri ...lots of tears reading all the comments...my email adress is on my blog ..love Ria 💕
Hello Dear Sheri!
You are on adventure aren't you... To find a new home in Southern California!
I wish you well on as you embark on this quest and look forward to seeing what you find.
I am looking out my office window right now and trying to imagine what it would like to have blooms...so much snow up here.
Spring has definitely sprung in your beautiful region of the country.
Francesca! How can you possibly be ice-skating already...adorable.
Jemma
Sheri this drive in the country was extra special...so glad you took me along. Seeing all those beautiful trees blooming and spring's sunshine made me smile. So glad you shared your photo of the past two. It looks like everyone was just happy to be alive. Hope you find a place in S. Ca. soon. Sending you hugs today!
Que maravilla de fotos. Los árboles se ven preciosso. Me encanta la naturaleza.
Un abrazo.
Sin tu permiso me quedo por aquí.
Un abrazo.
Oh, how I wish I could have been on that drive....I need a day out like that. You got some beautiful pics. Cannot believe Francesca is taking skating lessons. I bet she is skating before we know it.
What an amazing photo relation! I am in love with pink blossom trees, I would love to visit Japan one day to see them and, certainly, smell! I also love to drive away when I have got a worse day, it is really relaxing for me and for my mind. It's good to clear thoughts from time to time. These purple flowers reminds me of mine marigolds from https://gardenseedsmarket.com/french-marigold-dainty-marietta-single-flowered.html because of its shape. I really like flowers which look like this, they are so cute!
Sheri, those pink trees are absolutely gorgeous. Your photos are the pizazz! Thank you kindly for your gentle words on my blog. They mean SO MUCH to me. You, also, are a treasured blog friend and I love your visits and comments soooooo much. Love your blog, too! Hugs. Susan
Lovely photos. Good luck on your search! Hope you find something that fits very soon.
Sheri:

What a great drive! the spring blossoms are all so pretty! I loved seeing trees like this when we were in Europe last spring. We have purple Jacaranda trees here in Brisbane but no varied colourful blossoms like this!
Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend :) We had a date night last night which was awesome :)
Away From Blue
I feel you had a good drive !!! The pictures look so cool and beautiful. I always love the countryside more than cities, sometimes I need to breathe in the fresh air. The pink and white Blossom is delightful and we had the same decoration of pink and white blossom for our friend's wedding. Find some cool wedding pictures at https://www.bloghasting.com/ Blessings to All !!! Happy March Sheri 😊
How are you. Hugs.
The entire world is in limbo. It’s very frightening and sad.
