Home View

It's been strange and quiet around here.

I've been dreaming of our Earth's beauty. These are my views a few weeks ago, visiting Tahoe and Carmel

These are my new views.

Living room fort: check

Staying in and working from home while taking care of Francesca has been challenging to say the least. I'm not usually the stay-at-home type. But, I will say that I'm grateful that I've been given more time to focus on the things that I feel I never have enough time for...family, cooking, home projects, and leisure.

Here's my favorite view today!

What is your favorite view inside or outside your home these days?
Hang in there friends, and know that you are loved and missed.

Hello
Here we are also at home.
I am taking care of my mother. I make delicious food in the kitchen. I do manual work. I write on the blog. And I make cookies to sell.

Hi Jess!

I am an educator and yesterday was our first Distance Learning. I worked from my beautiful and sunny front room and studio where the old hardwood floors and well-appointed spaces give me a sense of openness. I could not believe how much the entire day was taken up by responding to my students' eager and timely submissions of their work. By 5pm, I was done with attendance. However, next week will be a bit more rigorous for everyone: teachers planning more lessons, students needing to respond to the assignments and parents, monitoring their kids.

I admire you parents who now have to work from home, doing double duty to your work AND family, synchronously.

That little Francesca is the best view of all. Your pizza looks so Yummy. I love that creative fort you made. It was so fun connecting with all of you - can't wait to have our tea party. Appreciate these special moments at home, Jess.

I just saw your comment over on my post. An hour and a half?? Was that because it was a line for TP or are all the lines like that? How are the stores? Well stocked? I was just wondering if I should order or go out...think I will order. We live on the East coast near a small town. I wonder if that will make a difference. We have not been anywhere since all of this started and ordered groceries last time we needed them. They delivered an hour later. That was a week ago.

Staying in and home is essential. I know it's hard with a little one. But it matters so much.

It may have been an hour and a half. But I got the groceries through Instacart at our local Aldi. She must have got the order, zipped through the store, and then brought it to me right away. Maybe I was the first order or the last one before drops offs. I went myself to another store this morning. Not too busy. The cashiers were all behind Pope glass! They had tons of food. I did not look for TP, so not sure about that. They had Advil and cleaning products which I had been warned could be hard to find. But they were fully stocked.

It is hard to stay home, but happy you can be with your Francesca. Love Carmel so much. It has been many years since I have been there.
My view is going out doors to discovery spring and pick a few flowers to bring indoors.

Ah! I'm so happy to see that children still build living room forts these days. Such a wonderful throw back to our childhood.

Look at that snow.. we didn't get any at all this winter. :(
Things have changed.. slowed down.. given us more time to be a family and spend time with each other rather than passing by each other all day in a rush

Nice photos, Jess. Your little treasure sure is adorable. My favorite views these days? Well, I put cobalt blue glass on the windowsills above the sink and I love it when the sun hits them. Also, there is a glass/crystal cross there, too, and when the sun goes through it, there are hundreds of rainbows all over the room. It's sooooo lovely. Take care, stay safe. Susan

Seems funny to see snow in Calif...haha. Sorry I have been missing your blog for a bit now. Things have been up in the air, here and there, moved, settling in, trying to get the other house ready for sale. Being overwhelmed, stressed since I am not working at the state job or the wedding venue. But this will all work out.
