March Chaos

So, I went to the local store here to buy some essentials, and thought that I'd go early to avoid the crowds.  It was around 7:00 am when I got there, and there was a line coming from the entrance of the store.  They were waiting for one person to come out of the store before letting another inside.  There was a long line at the check-out, and we are now seeing bare shelves for household items when going to the store.  I'm sure you've seen similar situations in your own area, as the concern about the virus is sweeping the land.

It's really coming down lately.

I thought this house was so pretty
with the rain pouring down.

Here's a brave one still walking the trail.

The white blossom trees are
starting to come out.

Jess was going to get a frozen pizza, but almost everything was gone in the frozen section at the store.  They had ingredients there to make your own pizza, so her and Francesca made a pizza.  They had so much fun, and she loved it!

Here's Mia at the Magic Kingdom.  Love this picture of her with the lollipop.  Did you know they closed Disneyland?  I think that was a good idea, as that's the place where the biggest crowds are.

My kids used to play on this bridge, and they would pretend there were Trolls under the bridge.

I thought this statue was beautiful.

This reminds me of the song "three little birds"
by Bob Marley.

Sweet Robin, one of my favorite birds.

The first white rose of Spring.

My new door mat.

So, what's it been like in your area? - if you have any stories, I'd love to hear them.  We are all in this together.  : )

Same up here. Shelves are bare. Lines of people going crazy. High schools are closed and Redding school district is closed. Our school is still open we are not in the city. We will find out later today if we are closing too. I am sure we will since everyone else is. We have plenty of food and are just taking it day by day. I can bake bread I have a ton of flour. Not worried about that, but bread is sold out everywhere as well as toilet paper. ugh! Hang in there and stay healthy!

The schools will be closed here. Fortunately, there is no regulation in shops yet. People buy a lot of toilet paper, which is weird. Hope the situation returns to normal soon. It's so beautiful there.

Hello Friend!
So nice to see your lovely photos this morning.
Things are much the same here in Pennsylvania. (With the virus, not the lovely nature!)
I am continuing homeschool with Flynn.
I think it best to maintain as much normalcy as I can.
Your sweet babes are simply adorable!
And I love your new mat!
I just ordered a new one with some pretty spring wreaths.
Time to take my winter ones down!
Have a cozy afternoon.

Love the troll bridge!

I went shopping Thursday and got just a little extra. It wasn't busy, no one was out of anything (but toilet paper), and all the shoppers seemed calm. It was peaceful. I wasn't worried. Friday I went to Target early in the day to get a video game. The store was very quiet, hardly any shoppers, and the shelves seemed full. I saw one lady with a bunch of toilet paper in her cart. Late Friday the news started talking about shelves being empty. I must have gone just before the panic hit. My sister went shopping on Saturday, she lives about an hour from here, and it was a totally different story. No canned veggies, no flour, no sugar. Shelves were empty. She got the last 2 ground beefs at Walmart and the last 2 at Food Lion. We live in NC. I haven't been anywhere since that Friday morning trip to Target. We watched church on TV, it was closed but the pastor put his sermon on youtube.

Hello - we are wet and rainy too. We have had double the amount of rain than normal.
The stores here are under chaos here too. I had a few who said that the store put out two cases of toilet paper - one person came in and bought both - your way there sounds better.
Francesca had fun making that pizza - a good opportunity.
Was this Mia at Disneyworld before it was closed?
Both girls are so cute.
Love the flowering trees!

Sweet grand daughters. Yes, I had heard Disneyland closed.
The blossoms are amazing. What joy they bring us in these crazy times.
I will head to the market on Wednesday morning at 6:30AM. I hope to find things I need on the shelves, but who knows.
That is a beautiful statue and love your new doormat.
We had snow a couple days ago and now the sun is out, but still a bit chilly. It was a good day for a walk.

Beautiful photos. It’s nice to see the beauty in things with all this madness going on. It’s the same here, shelves are empty. People are fighting for essentials. People are hoarding items and price gouging. It’s so sad.

Well, no one seems to come to my blog anymore, so my stories are like the wind. They come, they go.

Our school is closed but us teachers are working in the building to make sure our lessons are on line. It's a lot of work but yes, we are in this together.

Be well dearest Sheri!

Making your own pizza is the best anyway and so much fun! I love that beautiful statute and all the pretty blooms you have now. We haven't had rain but we are having a few Spring blooms anyway. I hope you have enough to be able to stay home now! We may not get to eat all the things we are used to but I know it will be for the best. Take care and stay healthy! Hugs, Diane

The stores here are insane. No potatoes, no canned beans, no canned fruit, no pasta, very little meat, very little produce. It's crazy! It's times like these when I wish I was more self-sufficient.

Sheri - I think that pizza looks so delicious I just might have to stop by :) with that kind of help it has to be good.

I am a little later visiting you but yes it is about the same here. I missed being able to go to Church Sunday but we did watch our pastor on line. Praying that things can just get back to normal soon - keep safe dear one. Together we will with God's help get through this and come out on the other side. Hugs!

Things are pretty much the same here. I haven't seen that many crowds, but the shelves are empty. Thankfully I went grocery shopping before the panic shopping started. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos Sheri. They bring peace in the chaos the world is currently facing.

So much here to comment on...I do not even know where to begin. Yes, shortages everywhere. I bet people are buying stuff they would never have bought before.

I love the rainy shots...there is this one with a tree just turning green that I just love...it is the second photo.

Mia is just simply adorable...she looks like she is having so much fun.

Our NEW in the Netherlands reports that the Dutch Organisation for Intensive Care expects 500-1000 people will be in intensive care units across the Netherlands. At this moment, there are 575 beds available for intensive care corona patients, however, this number can be raised to 2000.

It is so ...
I have no words.

God bless you.

We are also facing the same situation as you are. I like to walk on a rainy day in spring. That tells me changes of seasons.

Sheri,

And hello back to you! Look at that little chef in the kitchen with that huge genuine smile! Great shot! It's spring and raining here in North Texas as well. There are no pretty white blossoms blooming here but we do have blue bonnets starting to pop up here and there. Hope you and your family are well. Keep safe.

Hi Sheri, we are also in lock down in Australia and our state closes its borders tonight. We will stay home, only go out for exercise and to get food. Life has changed so much, with all regular activities cancelled. I hope you are doing ok. I love those gorgeous orange poppies, and the lady statue is beautiful. Your sweet grandchildren will cheer your heart. All the best my friend. x
