Mellow March

They're back again.
The pink blossom trees are
on all the streets gracing my town.

I love these birds.

I was literally thinking about the Richard Sheridan quote, "Won't you come into the garden?  I would like my roses to see you," and turned around and saw this....a single rose all by itself at the shopping center.

I think these are sweet.

I won a giveaway!
It's a delightful children's book, Busy in Boots, and I can't wait to read it to my grandkids.  The giveaway was from Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose.  The present was wrapped so nicely, including a card and two gift tags.  She also gave me one of her creative magnets that she made.  It looks pretty on my pedestal dish, so I think it will stay there.  I love getting surprises in the mail!

This guy was right outside my bedroom window.  He was so close, I could touch him.

And his protective mama.
Look at her face,
"don't mess with my young one."
She reminds me of me when
I had small kids.

Remember my lady with the blue flowers?  I changed them out for Spring.  When I saw this bouquet at World Market, it really spoke to me.

Doesn't Nel's King Cake look delicious?

I saved my favorite picture for last.
Have you ever seen a gnome with a camera?
hahaha

March has been mellow
so far,
and that's ok with me.  ; )

I'm totally mesmerized with your clicks. Nature has given countless beauty to us the only thing which is needed a view to admire them. The pink blossom trees are sooo beautiful. Loved the cute bird, the pink rose, and those red flowers. Are they camellias? Great collection of pictures dear. I really enjoy your post.
Have a great day <3

You have found so many special things in your day. You have inspired me to get my camera out more often to catch those magical everyday moments. :) I have never seen a gnome with a camera! The pink blossoms on the tree look so gorgeous, the petals are pretty on the ground too. I can't wait until spring flowers start to appear here in Ohio. The angels holding up the bench are like a reminder that there are guardian angels supporting us all the time. :) Enjoy your day! Michelle

It's so lovely seeing your beautiful blooms, Sheri. Spring is taking her time showing up here. The mother turkey and her charge made me laugh! How neat to view them so closely! Your purple flowers in your lady look beautiful. Nel's cake sure looks good. The sweet little gnome is darling. Congratulations on winning a drawing. How nice to get lovely gifts and a book to read to the grands! xo

Sheri, this is such a pretty post. I truly enjoyed my visit and seeing your lovely town on filled with spring blooms. We are still getting snow; our winter was going ago so mildly until February and then we got hit with several winter storms.
Thank you so much for your prayers. It touches my heart to know that so many are lifting us up in prayer. Life is hard right now, but our faith is strong and we know that He will not give us more than we can bare, although it feels like it at times.
You're an angel, thanks you for being such a sweet friend.
Connie :)

You have captured March beautifully and given me hope that Spring is truly around the corner. Although we still have 6-8 foot snow walls...Today marked drips and drops of Spring approaching as the temperatures keep rising. ..Soon we too will be able to enjoy beautiful sights like your pictures of blossoming tree and birds. Your magenta flowers in the lady vase are a brilliant marker for the coming season ... and I'd love a wee taste of Nel's cakes. Thanks for sharing all the delights...Hugs

I have never seen an elf with a camera. Love, love the lady with the flowers in her hair. Your spring is much further along than our springtime. I am so anticipating blossoms. Those are gorgeous pink ones. I always have loved the rose quote too.

Hi Sheri, I some times think roses magically appear where ever you go. :) I loved seeing all the pretty colors. I think you flowering trees are redbuds...They have that color flower. Stephanie is a sweet person and such a crafter. The little cherubs are so cute. I do not think I could sit there on that bench, I would feel guilty that 4 little ones were holding me up. LOL. Blessings to you , Love you, xoxo, Susie

So glad to see there some in your neck of the woods. Such a wonderful treat to visit you. I visit Stephanie as well as her Mom's blogs...they both are treasures as you are as well. Hugs!

This has so much I love, but I love when the pink trees shed and leave a carpet of pink petals...that shot of that small corner of them reminded me of that. Yet another thing to look forward to!

I love looking at your pics
and true they have some mellow factor in them
which I like. I love the picture of trees
so much life in them and the flowers are beautiful
even when they already fell on the ground.
I love the little angels, and yes the gnome with

Oh Sheri, I love the white dish! So pretty with all your pretties on there! I love cherry blossoms. Near my home town we have a Cherry Blossom Festival in March and the trees line the roads and the beverages are pink and the fountains are dyed pink. It's a great celebration. I'm seeing some of that here in Nashville. It's beautiful and your photos are great!

Hey~ Loving the trees. Cherry Blossoms? Pretty sure anyway. Beautiful pics as always. Awesome shot of the rose bud. So need to start taking my photography serious again and get out there and play some. Still trying to gather all my thoughts, feelings and goals all into one file in my head and start working from that. Problem, it is always so hard to gather it all together, the mind goes all over. I started that a few yrs ago with the Fibro....but I am working on it. Yes, it is hard getting to the grave site, I went the first time on my bday to take her flowers. I did that for the last few yrs, after all she is the one that gave birth to me! The other day was the second time but I needed to remove the fall colors. I have a nephew out there also, mom made sure him and dad always had the flowers per season or holiday so I have taken on that job now. Mom once again is helping out like always, found a larger plastic bin in the basement full of silk flowers!!! Enough to keep me going for a long while. Thanks for you sweet comment on the blog. Means so much.

Hi...me again! I read all your comments on my postings. Thanks for taking time to go back and read ones you missed. As for the towel about the messy kitchen, that is so me. I tend to place a dish or cup in the sink rather then rise and put in the dishwasher, I do this till I have no choice, I have to wash dishes....haha. I have a towel in my kitchen a friend gave me, it says, "what happens here tonight will be on facebook tomorrow"! Okay, don't freak out but I took a shower with my PRINCE again today. He just sits there. Temps are going up, yesterday it was a cool 75 but the nights are still dropping to the mid to low 40s so I still have not taken him out. I know you are like me and you love the country rides. I loved it when I was going to get the hay, wished several times that I had taken my REAL camera instead of the phone. I would have stopped and took a pic of the General Store. Might need to grab one dog at a time and take them out riding with me. I used to always take Dakota with me but since getting Lily I pretty much have not done any real drive off and away riding. Moms dogs have never been in the car just riding around. Bracelets ~ I am pretty sure she made those for me. I know she purchases the items to make them but then she does the letters. She is also a fantastic silver smith and I have had her make me a necklace, ring and earrings to match several yrs ago. I am so glad that you enjoy my blog. I enjoy doing it. Mom had several containers of money, she had one for quarters, then one for dimes and nickels and one for pennies. My mom, unlike me was a VERY ORGANIZED woman. I did not get that gene. As for me finding pennies from heaven its not cause I am looking up for sure. That is normally how I walk and go....looking straight ahead unless my mind is elsewhere, and my mind is always elsewhere these days. I have so much going on, so many thoughts, so much confusion and when I take on all that stuff and think about all I have to do I get overwhelmed and I crash. I have been doing way too much crashing the last couple of weeks. Gotta get a grip. Anyway...thank you for stopping by and always being such a joy with your sweet comments.

Your area is full of spring. Plum blossoms are beautiful now in my town. We are waiting for the cherry blossom season in early next month.

It will be a good two months before we see blossoms like that. You are indeed in spring! And that turkey is quite a handsome fellow! Wonderous king cake. All is good in your world, I think -- and that truly makes me smile!
