It's All About The Green

Top 'o the morning to you!
I don't have a bit of Irish in me, but my kids do, and it's such a wonderful heritage, that I delight in this special day every year.  I only have a couple of things around my home, so I put them out each year.

Jess has a tradition of enjoying a refreshing green beer every year, whether it's at a restaurant or home.

Some goodies that my son bought.
The shamrocks had a taste of vanilla,
and were so good.

And Francesca and Mia
wanted to say Happy St. Patrick's Day
to you too!

 Even though you're wearing green,
can I still pinch those cheeks?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Your granddaughters are so darling! I can see how you'd want to pinch those cheeks, very gently. I'm Scotch-Irish on my father's side and he loved St. Patrick's Day so much that I always think of him all day long on this day. Like you, I don't decorate much for it anymore but I still like knowing we have this day that seems to welcome in spring a little early. Happy St. Pat's Day to you, Sheri, and to those sweet little girls!

Sheri, your granddaughters are so sweet. Is Francesca creating a blog? So sweet--as are the shamrock cookies from your son. So thoughtful. I like your little bear with the shamrock and the shamrock dish is very vibrant green. Happy St Patrick's Day to you and your family.

Oh how those babies make me smile!!!!!!!

Sheri dear, thank you for visiting my blog! Those are crabapple trees and there are three shades of pink. One is what I like to call a "strawberry ice cream" pink, the other is a "raspberry sherbet"color and the third is somewhere in between! When they start to bloom (around MAY), it is glorious. We are starting to feel the temperatures warm up and it's pretty darn exciting around here! Stay tuned for more!

Hoping you had a great Irish Day. Me....I have a touch in me back from my great grandmothers side, with a mix of this, that and whatever! It appears like my dads family dates back to Wales, then you mix all the other here and there and like everyone else I probably have a touch of everything in me! Your little ones wearing green are so adorable. It seems like they have grown so much, way to fast! I love how the girls dress them according to the holiday! LOVE! I don't have anything but a door decor for St Patties day but being here at mom's I did not even get that up. Working on getting home but I need to go back over today and do somethings. With one dog I have to have all things put up and away, she loves to get into a lot of things so I have to think like Chloe.....and I have a hard enough trouble thinking Pam, let along Chloe! hahaha

Dear Sheri - Happy St Patrick's day late...those two pics of your grand babies are adorable. It looks like your family knows how to celebrate the "Wearing of the Green". My hubby is Irish through and through but we don't celebrate it much. Did fix corned beef and cabbage for our dinner...so perhaps we did celebrate a bit. Have a great day friend. Hugs!

What sweet little ones you have to celebrate St. Patrick's day. I don't really decorate except maybe get out a green cup for tea time. Your son is thoughtful to share cookies with you. Happy Spring time to you!

Oh Sheri, those precious granddaughters tug at my heart. They are SO TOTALLY ADORABLE. Loved your decorations, too. I don't have a drop of Irish in me, either. ha ha ha I like corned beef but it's too salty for me now. (Have to watch the blood pressure. Brother.) Thanks for your sweet visits, my dear friend. Hugs.
