Fun With Francesca

I got a surprise visit from Francesca this weekend.  Jess had a bridal shower to go to in Lake Tahoe, so Brian came in for the day.

I went over to Brian's mom's house, and she always greets me with a hug and a cup of coffee.  She got a new French Press Coffee Maker, and it makes the best coffee.  She is a gracious hostess, and always has treats to serve - we had coffee and Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies.

Remember the Pink rocks I got from Target?  She loved them and kept trying to put them in the holes of a toy.

And do you know what else she loves - their dog!  She can say a few words now, and dog is one of them.

I read her some of her favorite books.  She even flips through the pages by herself now.

She is walking all over now and likes exploring outside, so we went in the back yard so she could roam.  It's a big back yard, and there's always something to see.

It was cold out, so Brian made her wear her hat, which she kept trying to take off every chance she got haha.  A free spirit like me, she doesn't like to be weighed down with coats, scarves, hats.  As she was mischievously running, I picked her up and plowed a big kiss on her lips.

It was a fun day with Francesca.

Francesca is a little darling, Sheri. What fun you had with her! That's so neat she is starting to talk and loves books. What is she going to call you? Grandchildren are just the best. To top it all off with thin mints, what could be better. Have a nice week. ♥

Well, two things to say on this post. Your Francesca is four-star adorable and you must be loving every single second of grannying.

The other thing is that I need to find a girl scout!

So sweet! What a fun age, I can tell you are enjoying her so much. :) My daughter wouldn't keep her hat on either. Girl Scout cookie time! My husband brought some home from work. I am trying to be good and not eat them...but it is hard because I know they are so good. :) Take care. Michelle

MANY, MANY, yep....MANY years ago thin mints were my fave but later on I found the Tagalongs!!!! Nothing better than choc and peanut butter. I feel for those that are allergic to peanut butter! haha...Grabbing a kiss when the child is on run is about the only way to get a good kiss. I have to do that with Lily...haha. A tad different but basically the same type of thing! RIGHT? Loving that the weather looks great there. We are working on day 3 with one more coming tomorrow of SUNSHINE! Then the rain will be back but this will be light rain, not like the days we had last week. Out of 95 counties in TN, all but six were closed last week due to flooding and some of the out laying counties where they still have gravel or dirt roads and the creeks and rivers are close by are still out today. So much water, no place to go....

I just cannot believe how big she is! SO adorable! That hat is too cute! Aren't Girl Scout cookies the best!? I haven't given in this year . . . yet. I almost did one day last week outside of the grocery store but fortunately (or unfortunately) I had spent all of my money in the store! My favorite is the Samoa . . . Oh how I love those! Our local Big Lots has been carrying coffee pods with Girl Scout cookie flavors including Thin Mint and Samoa so I've been buying those! Have a wonderful weekend!
