Frolicking Into February

The town I live in has rolling hills, and it's quite beautiful when I look up at them as I'm driving by.  We had a very foggy morning this month, and I think February may be just as cold here as January.  The new Valentine cookies are out at Starbuck's, and they're so good.  Driving to church one morning, near my mother's old house, I noticed a tree which someone made a face on.  It has a mustache, and is delightful to look at.  I had lunch with my two good friends from high school.  They were my favorites back in the day, and we are still close and get together occasionally.  We did a little shopping after, and my friend bought me a tea cup, which I love.  I'm really picky about tea cups (not too heavy, not too big), and this one is just right.  The clouds were exceptionally pretty after all the rain we've been having.  Although the trees are still bare, I sometimes see a flower or two shivering in the cold.  I love my new baking dish for brownies.   My old one was getting rusty and tarnished and not baking evenly.   I made some tacos, and my family thinks they are the best tacos ever.   I make them with chicken, ground beef, or pork, whatever I have that day.  And the trick is to deep fry the tortillas and add a sprinkle of grated cheese.  Does anyone love the Target dollar bins as much as I do?  I found some Pink rocks!  Every time I browse through there, I find something interesting.  You know how much I love dolls, especially cloth ones.  Francesca got a Jesus doll for her Baptism, a special gift from her aunt.  He's so soft, and the first thing I said was "I want one!"  Jess surprised me with the doll, a gift from Francesca, which is very dear to me.  Sometimes Jess will send me pictures of her holding and loving the doll, and it is a precious sight.  I want to get Mia one now, so both of the cousins will have one.

Hi Sheri! Your rolling hills and fog are beautiful! The Target dollar bins are probably my daughter's favorite place to go shopping. I should add...when she is paying for her purchases. :) Anthropologie has some really pretty things, your teacup being one of them. It looks like you all had fun getting together. Happy Valentine's Day!! Michelle

Hello Dearest Sheri,
So nice to see such a lovely photo of you and of your granddaughter. I cannot believe how quickly they grow! I have a new grandson that was born on January 1st. I spent 2 weeks with my daughter and her family in North Carolina. I loved every minute of it.
It is good to catch up with you and see your inspiring photos.
Happy Valentine's Day to you dearest.

I loved seeing all your great photos. That is sweet of Francesca smiling at her Jesus doll. Those billowing white clouds are just beautiful against the blue sky.

Oh, I really understand that you have the right taste for the tea cup! And I love to drink tea and I have many different glasses. It is important for me the quality of porcelain, the shape and decoration of the glass.
Wonderful pictures of clouds, fogs and trees!
Your tea cup is a real treasure! Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores, unfortunately they do not deliver to Bulgaria. I really like their collections of dishes, some dresses, of course. They have an inimitable style.

Happy St Valentine day!

Hello darling Sheri....it is so nice to "see"you here with your pals. I am reminded of my best high school friend, who I see on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself with her two grown daughters the other day, and it was such a delight to see her with her new haircut...the same one I HAVE NOW!

Oh, the beauty you capture. Keep 'em comin'....I love your view.

Sheri, it's been foggy and rainy here on the East Coast the last couple of days as well. I love seeing the photo of your and your friends. It's nice to get together, isn't it? Francesca is darling holding her sweet Jesus doll. And now you have one too! Your tacos look amazing, my friend. I can almost taste them here- they look so delicious. A sprinkle of cheese is a brilliant idea. I really enjoyed seeing the lovely photos of your area, Sheri! ♥

I love your pretty sky pictures and the foggy morning. Now I need to check out those cookies at Starbucks. Love your cup. Is it from Anthropology? Ahh, blooming camellias, wonderful. Nice baking dish too. This is one I need. All I have is a pyrex one and sometimes I wish I had another.

Sounds like such a fun day. And I love your Anthropologie tea-cup. We don't have Anthropologie around here but I've been to the one in London a couple of times and loved their stuff.

I am loving all your pics,
the heart cookies are so cute and am sure they taste good too.
First time I have seen a Jesus doll.
And your tacos and brownies look so yummy.
You know the pink rocks are lovely,
I buy pretty cheap things too, a lot actually.
It is always a good time
being with old friends, those people we know
from way back... we know they are always there
when we need them and it is so good to reminisce
old times.
Oh and have a Happy Valentine's Sheri.

I have prepared hot choco with mallows for my son today
cause it is still pretty cold out here...I'd send you a cup
if I could.

What a lovely post, Sheri. I love your pink rocks. It reminded me I have some pink seaglass I need to get out today! And your lovely blooms. Oh, so pretty!

The Starbucks cookie looks good! Panera has delicious valentine cookies too -- I went to buy four -- Valentine dessert (and maybe sneak one myself!) and they were 4 for 11.50! They're good but not THAT good so I got two. I might make cut outs today!

Hello Sheri! Hoping this will publish here as I can on some and not on others. I love the Jesus doll! How sweet that your granddaughter loves him so much. You really do celebrate the small joys with those pink rocks! I think you go through your days expecting beauty around you and it always appears for you. That's a wonderful thing. Even the tree face pleased you! So sweet!

Dear friend, thank you so much for coming to visit my blog. I simply don't get the traffic I used to, even by friends. But, our journeys often diverge yet love still remains. Thank you for your loving friendship and support.

HAHA...love all the pics but love the troll pic at the end. Reminded me of the troll doll I had in the 70's! They were a big thing back then. Isn't it funny how these things roll around. Looks like you had a really great day out and about. Love looking at the view of your little town. Here, we have had some cold days but not really had a winter. We have had more than our share of rain. Feb usually stands at just 2 inches of rain, 2 weeks ago we were at 7, had more since and at least 5 to 6 due the next two days and it will rain till Sunday. OVER IT ALL! Have a great rest of the week.
