Christmas Country

Whenever I get tired of the suburbs, I get in my car and head straight for the country.  It's like a breath of fresh air to me.  There was a parade going on through town, and Santa was there bringing smiles to the children.  There are a couple shops I visit when I get to this town, and one of them is an indoor/outdoor shop.  It's pretty to see the leaves fall on the statues and garden collectibles outside.

Back in my town.
Autumn is still lingering in
northern California,
and I never need filters when taking
pictures during this season.

We got rain!
This helps with the brutal fires
we're having this year.
It's been raining for days now.

I always make two pies for
 Thanksgiving.  ; )

I have a yearning to live in the country
as I get older.

Your pics are Amazing.
I love the angel, the pastry,
and yes even Santa!
I super love the Autumn leaves
and Trees. Oh its nice to live in the country,
I have been here since 2004 the year my Mom passed away.
It quiet here and I feel that people are more friendly and closer.
And since technology is everywhere
communication and other techy things
is not a problem anymore. But I am afraid
I'd be coming more often to the city when
my son starts his College Education.

I love your post Sheri, and the pie looks delish too ♥

The fall leaves are very pretty there this year, Sheri. I'm thankful for the rain and that some of the fires are out now. So sad about lives and property lost. All our leaves are gone and we are having snow flurries today! Feels like Christmas is around the corner! Have a blessed week.

The country is looking really beautiful, Sheri. I missed fall this year -- or at least the color of it. Too early in Europe, too late when we got home. So seeing this makes me gasp!

Oh my goodness - the trees with that orange red are my very favorite - I could look at them all day long. Are you experiencing the fires or the smoke there? Glad it is raining. I love pumpkin pie. I think you mentioned that desert place once before! sandie

Sheri, I'm so glad California is getting rain! It's so sad about the many fires. Your photos are outstanding! I love the beautiful, colorful leaves! Our trees are quickly becoming devoid of leaves. I love the country as well, Sheri. It's something about the peace of the country. Love the old truck with the plants! And your pumpkin pie looks delicious. Have a nice week ahead. ♥

I am definitely getting out in nature more often. I like to walk the trails in the forest and enjoy the sights and sounds of the woods. Love that you have neat places to drive to and you even saw Santa...how special is that! You have some amazing Autumn colors now too. Glad you are getting some much needed rain. We got a little shower this evening and that's good for us too. Hugs!

Oh Sheri I love your pics, you have a great eye! What kind of camera are you using? Fall has come and gone...gone...gone! We did not even have a pretty one. Had enough rain and wind at the right time to take the leaves right off the trees just as they were starting to look like they might do something. Like you I love a good ride in the country. I love traveling those back roads, usually with a Nikon in hand. Thank goodness those back country roads are not to busy since I have a bad habit of driving, looking for that great shot and hitting those brakes! Hoping you had an amazing Thanksgiving. These Holidays are moving right along so fast this yr. seems like it was just Halloween and before we know it we will be in 2019.

You have such a talent dearest Sheri. Get yourself a more advanced camera so you can experiment more because you have the eye and feel. I LOVE your work! And yes, the country is becoming more appealing to us as well, and sometimes my husband suggests moving to ENGLAND!

Wow Sheri, what fantastic and beautiful pictures of Autumn leaves. They are just magical. I see a little bit of Christmas coming there too. I enjoy the season, and I'm sure you do too. xx

Your photography captures the beauty of the season. I sure wouldn't object to a slice (or two) or that pumpkin pie.

Gosh, Sheri, your photos are beautiful. Like a strand of pearls, I paused to enjoy each one. And the colors you still have, we are far beyond that beauty. So nice to see it again. I am glad to hear you got days of rain! I wish So. Ca. would too, though I know that folks fear the landslides.

It is raining here at the moment and that makes me smile as we are behind on rain and snow this season, summer too was dry.

Wishing you dreams come true (if you truly want to live in the country).

Oh, those amazing autumn trees! Such gorgeous photos - a feast for the eyes. Love the raindrops on the berries :) I didn't realize you lived in Northern Cal., my goodness - those fires were so tragic and my heart just breaks over it. I worry constantly about fire all summer. One of the drawbacks of living in the woods. Thank you for your dear visits, Sheri - yes, yes, 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' - one of my all-time favorites. Sending hugs - enjoy this beautiful season. xo Karen

The great nature repeats same things year by year, while we have different memories in seasonal changes. The changes are in the cycle.

Oh the colors! Such beauty in fall. I'm trying to enjoy even though spring and summer are my favorites and fall and winter tend to make me sad. But time is going fast and in the cold weather, I'm ok with it! Happy beautiful days to you!
