A Little Of This, A Little Of That

While I was waiting to get an oil change for my car, I walked across the street to the bakery.  It's Nel's favorite bakery when she comes into town.  He gave me a list of things to get fixed on my car.  I will get to it, one at a time.  Car maintenance, Ugh!

Savoring Autumn

I have seen this car in front of me two times around town.  The message comforted me each time.

Isn't he a handsome fellow?

Since I have two granddaughters now, I thought that it would be fun to decorate my Christmas tree with pink ornaments this year.  I have been gathering old and new ornaments to put on the tree.

My sister gave me this blue dish.  She always finds the best gifts.  When she's out shopping and finds something, she'll keep it for that special someone, and then surprise you with it later.  It's very small, but that's ok, cause I have lots of miniatures.  ; )

Made a batch of brownies and a cup of tea in my Polish  tea cup.  This may just be my favorite dessert.

If I ever decide to get a new dog,
I'd like it to be this kind.

A little of this, and a little of that
goes a long way.  ; )

I love seeing what you are up to, my friend. Sorry to hear about your car---it's always something! Glad to hear you can get things attended to in time. I love your little miniatures on that pretty pedestal dish. How thoughtful of your sister! Your grands are going to love looking at your pink tree and see your additions through the years! And the brownies look divine. I'm like Diane I'll have to look away as I can't have sugar any longer--boo hoo! ♥

What fun to decorate your tree for your granddaughters in pink. Love your little sugar bowl (I think) in the blue transferware. How thoughtful of your sister to find special surprise gifts. Oh yes! Car repairs can really be a pain. I keep a separate savings account just for car stuff because it does come as an unexpected surprise expense sometimes. Have a wonderful week!

My favorite colors of leaves turning it the red and orange. I think you have to have certain temps to get a lot of those - not too m any of those colors here that I see. Ugh for car maintenance. Love the Trust In Jesus on the window - BOLD! Love your Christmas ornaments. What kind of animal is that - a llama - or am I dumb? That looks like my dag for real! Have a good day! sandie

Dear Sheri
Wow, such wonderful photography! I’ve always loved Autumn, with the softer light and golden leaves on the trees!
Congratulations on your two granddaughters - I know how exciting that is! I have 3, all girls and the youngest is six and has me wrapped around her little finger, as I imagine yours do too.😘
I love the pink items for your Christmas tree - my little Jessie is mad about unicorns 🦄
It’s lovely to be in touch again.

Dearest Sheri, how lovely are your musings. I wish more people would simply do this, observe the this and that of life. And YOU TOO are thinking of a pink Christmas?I am too!

Hi Sheri, it's good to see you post!

It'll be awhile before it gets up on the blog but I got the prettiest red roses photo while we were in the Cotswolds and thought of you as I was shooting it!

Lots of lovely autumn here. It's rained almost every day since we've been home and I'm missing those wonderful colors. Rain sure makes them fall a little faster. Ah well. They predict snow this weekend. Ick!

I love your tree idea for your sweet girls! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thank you for your comments today, dear Sheri! Speaking of scrumptious... those brownies look sooo delicious. :)
Everything is beautiful in this post. Pink ornaments for Christmas sound lovely and if I were a little girl I too would be crazy about unicorns. Being a big girl, I'm crazy about autumn foliage.
Hugs and blessings!

OH my....you know how I LOVE a good this and that blog!!! haha....I love them... Great post also. A pink tree? Neat, although that would not take place at my home for a couple of reason, I have NEVER been a pink fan for myself. I am a purple person! Second, I have ornaments collected over the yrs that are the red/green theme and I look forward to sitting here looking at them this time of yr. Car stuff...I so need to get up from my perch on the couch and take mine to have the oil, oil filter, air filter changed and tires rotated. Been needing to do it for weeks and totally forget once I leave the car in the drive way! And my car tells me it needs doing with a light! Always something isn't it. Fall....you must be northen part of Calif? We have had fall colors for a hot minute! Took forever for the colors to change then the other night we have rain (hard) and terrible wind that took most of the color to the ground....I really wished we could enjoy fall for weeks. I love this time of yr. Hoping you have a great day.

Beautiful photos! Fall is over here . . . and we are expecting our first snow tonight. Boo Hoo. I love the idea of the pink ornament tree and you've sure collected some beautiful ones! It made me think that maybe I'll start looking for vintage ornaments for a small tree in my kitchen. The colors are yellow, red and turquoise.

I just saw your 'this blog does not allow anonymous comments'. Is that a setting or something?? Since blogger made all of its changes, I get about 30 of these a week now! I do have comment moderation but it's annoying nonetheless!

I'm no fan of car maintennce either, and there isn't even a nice bakery across the place where I bring my car to. It would be so much nicer.
