Now, we're in the town on Loomis.
At the local store I bought a fairy rock because I've always wanted to create a fairy garden. : )
A cute antique shop caught my eye from the street, so I got out and looked around and talked with a gal who moved to Loomis about four years ago from So Cal.
Pretty rose pots
I stopped at a bakery and bought a blueberry Danish to go with my coffee.
Next to the railroad tracks, I got a strong smell of something. Looked over and this is what it was.
I sure do love the town of Loomis, and visit it frequently. Sometimes getting out of our own town and visiting another is just what we need.
So as Tim McGraw sang "shut off the AC and roll the windows down," that's just what I did that afternoon.

What state is Loomis in? These are wonderful photos -- such great color! And I adore that little shop. I'm looking forward to getting out of town, too. Can't come soon enough!
Beautiful poetry, Sheri...that last line? That is poetry. I could feel the breeze right along with you. Hugs to you!
Wowwwww beautiful !!....happy weekend enjoy have fun...love Ria x
Sheri, What a fun day for you. You showing all those flowers makes me think of a town north of us that has hollyhocks growing all over the town. I think I'll ask Ted to take me there next week. I will be sure to take my camera. I love that you relaxed with coffee and a Danish. Sounds good to me girl. I saw where that song won an award for Tim McGraw. I can't say that I have heard it though. Blessings to you for a great weekend, xoxo, love you, Susie
Precious friend! I see you visited my blog again! YES, my mum tried and cooked all kinds of wild things in Mexico, including BLOOD SOUP for which the proper Spanish word escapes me...but in France, BOUDIN is a blood sausage. I DON'T THINK I COULD DO THAT>....
Our parents did however, encourage us to try new things, but for me, that culinary adventure did not happen until later in life. I had a thing with textures and tastes as a kid, and even to now, I don't like overly spiced food. I am a minimalist par excellence! HAHAHAHHAHAHA
Yes, I am off from school however, I had to attend one technology training session yesterday. LIFE IS SWEET and I bet Jess is thrilled to have her time off!
Blessings to you lovely one!
Love it - special de rose pot!
Beautiful Photos :)

H-E-L-L-O my dear Sheri, I am back in Blogland again. Loomis looks like a delightful afternoon escape away from daily activities. The rose pot is gorgeous and I sure hope one went home with you. Looking forward to seeing future posts of your fairy garden. Have a wonderful weekend, I will be gardening.
xo,
Vera
Sheri, you know that's my kind of day. Loomis looks like my kind of town. Pretty flowers, pretty pots and a danish, who could ask for more? Enjoy your weekend! ♥
Sheri, Loomis looks like a pretty place to visit! We took time last weekend to tour 4 beach towns near us, one called Neptune Beach was such a charming place. We've been too busy unpacking and settling in to do this before now but it did me so much good, just as you write about here!
Have a lovely weekend, Sheri!
Good evening my friend!
I have missed you too... Oh I know you must be so busy with the shower preparations. Loomis looks like such a beautiful place to visit.. I love the rose pot!
Thank you so much for visiting Clara and your kind words..
Wishing you a beautiful weekend..

Penny
Sounds like a totally wonderful day rejuvenating. have not heard of the song but will certainly listen to it now.
O dearest sure wish I could.. Sounds fabulous. I love that rose flower pot so pretty. Going to look for that song. Happy weekend with love Janice

Ahhh, the fresh air and the blessed countryside! What a lovely visit to Loomis and thanks for taking us along!
Excellent idea!!!
I see the sweet smelling Wild Yellow Rose, but what are the sweet smelling purple flowers, near the rail road track?
Love the sign Pretty Weeds!
Wonder why the horses have those sort of "blinders" on? I racing, it's because they get distracted by other horses in the race. But these beauties are simply grazing.........
Nice day, my Dear. Very nice day.
Hugs,
Tessa
Should have proof-read!
That should have read.... "IN racing, it's because they get distracted..."
:-)))
Tessa
Love.
I took a wild guess that Loomis was Northern Cal. We just do not have towns like that here down south. It looks like a fun day.
An escape from the every day is always a good thing. Tim McGraws new song is being played A LOT...guess they're getting ready for his tour. I picked up some things today for my fairy garden. We will have to compare notes :).
It's raining today where we are, but I hope you're having lovely weather and are enjoying the weekend.

Darling Sheri, HELLO! What a great day we had at the lakes. Summer has officially begun here!
Thank you my sweet friend, for coming to visit me! There is a true magic here in this place. Whether it's in the garden or in my home, I always find something to be excited about.
To answer your question about how I softened the photo of Clara and the flowers, I used Photoshop to lessen the clarity. Do you have Photoshop?
Looks like you had a great time!!! Looks like a great escape!
Btw stay in touch.
New post in my website www.anteegurung.com/blog

Good morning darling!
Yes, that clarity slider on PS? Move it to the left and it will fuzz out the photo for you! HAVE FUN!
Since we have moved to the country our town is 12 miles away! Isn't that neat? When we had our lovely Art and Craft retreat at our home many Ladies got lost.
But eventually they found their way-
I am glad that you are soaking up nature dear Sheri, there is nothing quite as wonderful is there.
You travels took you to some interesting shops too.
I love the blue chair, I just painted my old wrought iron outdoor table and chairs that very same color. It is a Summer color to me.
Your Art was sent out on Thursday, so you should be receiving it this week. Please let me know when you do.
Love,
Jemma
Perfect idea. I would love to join you sometime. What a fun adventure.

Looks like a lovely place to spend time in.
Sometimes a day out of town is just perfect ...
All the best Jan
Hello, sweet Sheri - I so enjoyed taking this country drive with you! Love all the little stops....those little angels really caught my eye.....Such pretty photos - glad you were able to get away and enjoy this beautiful drive and share it with us. Hugs xo Karen
I agree we need to go out of town every now and then and that's what we did on the weekend too. I like the detailed pictures of what you did from buying things and food to the lavender patch (is it a lavender?). I'm sure you were delighted when you saw it.

Looks like a fun day! A drive in the country with the windows down can cure anything, and a blueberry danish too. :)
