Do you think adults
can be manipulative sometimes?
Do you think adults
can be sneaky sometimes?
Sometimes proud?
Sometimes boastful?
Sometimes self-centered?
This song has always made me think of children and how very special they are. They live every day with goodness in their heart; not mean-spirited, but sharing with us the only thing they have........their love.
I will try to have the heart
of a child this Christmas and always -
it's a child that will show us
the spirit of Christmas
the most.

Children are precious, intelligent and can show us much! Beautiful post, Sheri, thank you so much for sharing.
Children do show us the true spirit of unconditional love. They are so pure and honest, and relate straight from the heart. Lovely reminder, Sheri. Very sweet. Hugs xo Karen
I think as we grow in this world with all the hard knocks etc... We change and sometimes we done realize it or how much... Children are that because they havent taste the world yet... We hopefully tons haven't, i know there are children meet ugly early on... My prayer is that all that do may they be released from it and find joy and happiness... Yes as adults we can be all that uglinest... Happy weekend my dear Sheri with love Janice
That's why working with YOUNGER kids is such a blessing. I love all my students, and all ages, but you do see a shift when a person grows older....I like to think of the CHILD WITHIN when dealing with older students. The sassy behavior, all of that is a facade for the real message they are trying to convey: "I NEED TO KNOW I BELONG."
This song you share is one of my favorites and this particular recording is stellar. I think I presented one of my best Christmas blog posts with this song, a few years ago.
Enjoy the season that belongs to those who are a child at heart; besides, the Lord said that those who come to Him must come as a child. Believing.
LOVE YOU SHERI!
Dearest Sheri,
Yes, adults can choose to become all sorts of things.
In this remarkable journey of life it is important to remain grounded and focus on the pure, and good things that are all around us. We must remain dreamers, stay connected with nature, and our Faith.
I have always said that children are the purest form of mankind, they do not seek to harm, humiliate, degrade or anger.
I have always loved to see the world through the eyes of a child, the wonderment, magic and delight.
Wishing you a weekend filled with childlike merriment and wonder, sweet friend.
Love,
Jemma
Sheri, I am hoping I can always be kind and welcome Christmas with the pure joy of a child's heart. I think we need to listen to children's choirs more too. Blessings to you, love you, Susie
Thai you Sheri.
Happy Weekend Sheri! lovely Greets <3
Sheri thank you for posing these questions. Sadly yes to all. I embrace my inner child and see a precious and beautiful light in children that oftens dims because of their circumstances or adult care they receive. Adults need to realize that the hope for our future truly belongs to the children of this world. Beautiful song... Bless our children, believe in them, honor them, love them, rejoice in them, protect them and by doing so their inner child's glow will be a brighter future.

Vera
Wowww thanks......love from me Ria x❤️
Thanks for a lovely post Sheri! Beautiful in every way!
What a lovely post, Sheri. Everything about it captures the spirit of Christmas ... I'll try to have the heart of a child too. Blessings, sweet friend. xo
Sheri, this is a lovely post and one that I truly believe. I spent today making cookies with the two younger grands. They are so sweet and innocent. Reminds me of the true meaning of of the Christmas season. Enjoy your evening, dear Sheri. ♥
Hi Sheri, Yes children have true hearts filled with joy!
Innocent and loving. It really shows us the meaning of Christmas. Wishing you a very special holiday filled with blessings.
MERRY CHRISTMAS sweet friend. xo
The innocence of children is so wonderful - we are enchanted by the things our 6 year old grandson says. He is insightful, yet open and naive all at once :) We quote him for days after he visits. What a pity people grow up to become devious, manipulative and son on, according to what happens in their lives. Wishing you a peaceful and happy Christmas, Sheri. xox
I just love being around children ... there views, their fun is infectious ... alas these views can change the older we get.
I always do my best to keep the 'magic' that a child may view, but we must not be naive, we have to learn to be aware of what is truly going on around us.
For me Christmas is about loving, sharing and giving ...
Have a peaceful weekend
All the best Jan
I love what Jemma said about children. It's a wonderful season to remember this! Hugs, Diane

Lovely post and I agree about the children. I did get the V.W.s from Ross!
A child's heart is naturally pure and without malice. It is said around age 9 that begins to change as they assimilate and absorb their surroundings which are often materialistic and self-centered.
Christmas is a special time when we as adults revel in childhood innocence and wonder, and I believe it brings out the best in all of us, if only for a short time.
Yes, I do believe adults can be that way and yes, children can show us the way :)
I love that Nell saved that bear. Bears are a favorite of mine and I'd do the same.
Pate... LOVE it. Wish I could get more of it, but it's so fatting LOL

Beautiful post Sheri. Seeing Christmas, or anything new, through my daughter's eyes when she was a little girl was truly humbling. Their pure and innocent hearts are a treasure that we all hope would never get lost. Wishing you, my sweet friend, a wonderful Christmas season.
Much love,
❤️Ana
