A Very Dear Friend
I went to my friend, Anne's house today. I met Anne at my church, and loved her right away. I visit her about once a week and we pray and talk, and talk some more. Her friends tell her that she has the gift of gab. We talk about world issues - she always seems to know what's going on, and she shares with me interesting stories about her life and family. She does talk a lot, but she also listens. I've never met anyone who has a gift for conversation as she has, and I'm so glad to have her in my life.
Anne is French Canadian, like me, and today she served pate and crackers. I've never had pate before, and it was kind of rich, so I could just eat a few bites of it, but I'm glad that I tried it.

Have you ever tried
pate before?

That does sound nice and it's always fun to spend time with a friend. I don't think I've ever had pate...hhmmm. Holiday hugs, Diane
Sounds wonderful! It is important to have good Friends :)
Lovely Greetings <3
It is always fun to have a "chatty" friend like that. I have a sweet dil that is "chatty" and I just adore her. Sorry, I have had pate several times--not a fan...lol xo Diana
Yes, pate is lovely ... I also use it when cooking larger field mushrooms stuffed with a pate and cheese filling ... it's delicious.
Your photo's look lovely and so nice to read about your visit to your friends house.
All the best Jan
How fun, no I have no tried pate.
Good friends are true treasures.

So interesting to hear that you are French-Canadian, Sheri. Just like my grandsons!! I have tried pate a few times, but don't like the liver one. Salmon pate appeals to me much more. Happy week xox
Sheri, So glad you have a fun friend. No I do not think I am a pate person. Nor caviar. So many things I will not ever try..Sushi, oysters...can't do it. So are you from Canada? My Ted says he would love to go back to Nova Scotia and Peggy's cove. We went there on a cruise out of New York. Blessings, love, Susie
Hello, Dear Sheri - isn't it nice to have someone that you can chat with about any subject? That is a rare gift of friendship. My Mother loved pate' and she would serve it regularly with pretty little crackers and cheese. It is very rich! She was also someone I could chat with about anything and we would spend hours discussing the state of the world. Oh, how I miss those wonderful visits. I'm sure you are just as appreciated to your friend as she is to you. Hugs xo Karen
So nice that you have such a sweet friend like Anne!!!
It's nice to have like minded friends, dear Sheri. She sounds like a kindred spirit! I've had pate' and I hate to say I'm not a fan. Too rich for me! Enjoy your new friend, Sheri. xo ♥
Sounds like your friend enriches your heart. I love pâtè especially duck. I agree with you, it is rich and filling and a tiny bit lingers on the taste buds and satisfies.
xoxo,
Vera
Hi Sheri...I think I had pate once or twice in my life only and it was pretty good.
Loved reading about all your holiday traditions. I think you love Christmas as much as I do!
Hope your week is going well. Susan
I happen to love goose pate', however it has been awhile since I have enjoyed it. Anne sounds lovely, Sheri. How fun to have a new found friend from your homeland!
Happy December!

I love pate also, but it is very rich. Sounds like you have met a very charming lady. So glad that you guys visit. I love hearing stories about friends and their life's.
Have a great week Sheri.
Hugs,
Mary
Good morning dearest Sheri! Isn't it lovely to have someone near you that you can spend time with? All of you dear blogger friends are women I love to correspond with and with whom I dream of sitting down to have a conversation, but when you do find someone that listens, it's really special. Though I've been to France, I've never tried their paté because it seems it would be too rich, indeed! Enjoy your day dear one, and that rose is GORGEOUS!
Good Afternoon Sheri, It is so special when you find someone who is such a good friend. To have a friend who is able to listen is such a special thing and what makes the friendship even more perfect is that she knows a thing or two about cooking.
I love pate and yes it is very rich, but served with crusty bread and salad, it is the perfect lunch. This is one of George's favourites... although I have to add he does have a lot of favourites. I tend to make it more in the winter time. I eat it with a salad because I find the acidity in the tomatoes cuts through the richness of the pate, although George wouldn't agree, he likes to eat it just with slices of crusty bread.
Have a lovely day today.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
Dear Sheri,
I am blessed to have two friends who I love to spend time with.
They are chatty and fun and we all know one another so well, that we are like wearing an old comfortable shoe. We can even finish one another's sentences.
Pate-no I have not had any because of the ingredients...but it was very special of her to prepare it for you!
Love,
Jemma
It's wonderful to have friends like Anne in one's life, isn't it? The ability to talk about anything and everything is very special indeed.
Your Rose is stunning, and yes, I've had pate. I've learned that not all pate is created equal. Some I have liked and some, not so much.
Have a fabulous weekend dearest Sheri!

i love paté and your photos just as well!
;)
kisses and wish you a lovely week ahead!
It is important to have a special friend whom we can talk to. You are blessed to have such dear Sheri.
I am not a big fan of pâté either.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Aida
Glad to have a friend like her......enjoy life Darling.....lover love love Ria x❤️
It is wonderful to meet a new sister in Christ! I used to like liverwurst, but now my tastes have changed.
I don't care for liver, duck or salmon pate. So, what I've done is make it with a roast beef. It's tasty but not too rich.
I'm glad you have such a dear friend. Spending time with someone like that is truly one of the pleasures of life.
xo
