SomeBUNNY's Coming This Easter Sunday

I have a few special guests coming over for Easter brunch this year.

Jess, her boyfriend, and his sister will be joining my fiance and I to celebrate this joyous day.

Easter has always been a favorite holiday in our family. When Jess and I were little we couldn't wait to wake up early Sunday morning to see what the Easter Bunny had brought us!

After rummaging through our baskets for the best candy, we'd dress up in our Sunday finest for Church, and celebrate afterwards with a big brunch. And that's exactly what we're planning to do this year.

I'll be cooking eggs benedict, home-fried potatoes, and white chocolate chip banana bread. And of course I have a little surprise up my sleeve...

I'm making Easter baskets for everyone (because we all know you're never too old to enjoy Easter goodies)! I have four baskets just waiting to be filled...

A little something for the girls...

A little something for the guys...

A few sweet treats for everyone...

And what Easter basket would be complete without milk chocolate bunnies?

Jess and I might not be so little anymore,

but I have a feeling she'll appreciate this surprise visit from the Easter Bunny all the same.

Wishing you, your families, and my own a blessed Easter Sunday.

Hello Sheri~hopping in to wish you a wonderful Easter with your loved ones.
At this holiday I'm always flooded with memories of wearing fluffy dresses and petticoats with fluffy hair to match.

Getting these small glimpses of spring we've been taunted with has me craving a weather change.
I'm more than ready to welcome a fresh season of color.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Dear Nel,

What a delightful Easter saturday post.
You took me back to my youth. After sunday mass, me and my sister would get our easter eggs.
Friends sometimes would come over for lunch or afternoon tea.. It was a wonderous time for me . A time of reflection.
Have a wonderful time with your fiance and family.
A blessed day ..

Nel- It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful Easter celebration with your family. Love the baskets you are putting together. Got a question for you- Any chance you want to share your white chocolate banana bread recipe? I am always looking for new ones- it is my son's favorite food in the world. No hurry but someday if you get a chance and want to share it I would love it.

Enjoy your blessed day with your family- xo Diana

I love the way you think Nel. You are going to make a wonderful wife. And when you have children, they will know how you felt when you were a little girl growing up in such a fine home.
You rocked the Easter baskets and eggs Benny?? Randy's favorite brunch meal.
Have fun.
Happy Easter to you and yours.

Thank you for your comments everyone, and for sharing all of your fond Easter memories. It certainly is a special time of the year.

Diana, I wish I had more of a recipe to share with you, but the banana bread I make is super simple. I just buy the Trader Joe's mix, which calls for 2 eggs, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, and 2/3 cup of water, and mix in 1/2 bag of Nestle's white chocolate chips, a small bag of walnuts, and a whole chopped banana. It's not my own recipe, but it sure is yummy! Hope you enjoy if you try it out!

Claudette, thank you so much for your sweet comment. My fiance wanted me to tell you he agrees with you. ( ; Happy Easter everyone!
