The waterfalls are on the outskirts of my town, and a week ago I had the pleasure of visiting them once again. The ideal time to go is right when Spring arrives, as the summer months attract the tourists and are more crowded. There were only a few people visiting when I went with my son, and they amaze me every time. It has been said....."It is not the highest or largest waterfall in the state, but possibly the most beautiful."
It really is like a scene from Jurassic Park when you are surrounded by all the trees coming from every direction.
The Falls from another view. The water comes from underground springs above and at the Falls, and provides a constant flow of water, even during the dry summer months.
A spider web of water.
A close-up of the Falls. People have walked down to the base, and have jumped in the refreshing water during the warm months.
The mates come together and soar the skies.
And trees as tall as you can imagine.
There's a stream that flows right next to the Falls that always catches my eye.
The trail going down is pretty easy to walk, but it's a bit more tricky going up.
It was a grand day!

Good morning Sheri... This looks like such a gorgeous place. Even though there is a rushing sound at a waterfall, I find them to be so very peaceful. Each of your photos is perfect!! The one that you captured the tree from the trunk all the way through the tree, is spectacular. Even the little tender needles on the trees is stunning. There are so many small falls coming out of the rocks, and you are right...kinda reminds you of a spider web. I was just thinking of how much work went in to laying those rock steps. Enjoyed this post throughly.
The jewel of our county. The photos are perfect and really captures the unique beauty of the falls. I can’t wait to trek up that way within the next month.
Hey Sheri! Excellent collection of photos. Wow, wow, on the waterfall shots. How cool. Cheers, Ivy.
They made me smile.
Good morning - I LOVED seeing your picture there. Oh, what a beautiful area and day. Nice you could do it with your son.
I LOVE waterfalls. They are so magnificent and powerful. You just have to know there is a God. All those falls and water and trees. The birds.
I would NOT jump in myself. lol
And I could NEVER climb those stairs, but I would love to go see them.
You are blessed.
Hello Sheri, what a fascinating and glorious place! I absolutely love waterfalls...the sound, the fresh scent! I find them so peaceful and soothing! Your photos are gorgeous, I really appreciate you sharing this magnificent walk!
Yes, the waterfall is exceptionally beautiful. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The photo of the sky and the two birds is great.
I wish you a wonderful new week.
A huge double waterfall! and many little tiny ones. But I love the way you described it, a spiderweb of water!! I have never seen a falls like this! Really stunning. Ginny
Es preciosa la cascada. También yo he podido admirar algunas.
Feliz semana.
The waterfalls are beautiful and the quote made me think.
That is indeed a gorgeous falls.
My goodness, my friend! Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us! Wonderful photos too!
The photos are amazing. And the words hit the heart for me. I love nature so much! Thank you for sharing!!!
These photos are fantastic, Sheri. What a gorgeous place and you captured it perfectly. I think I would rather climb a huge number of steps up than navigate the hill but it looks well worth the climb. I can't think of a nicer day.
I always wanted to photograph waterfalls so two years ago I drove an hour and a half to do exactly that. It was a little more crowded than I would've liked but I finally did it. Yours are beautiful...
So beautiful. What is the name of the falls?
Thinking of you. Hugs.
Nature's own perfect plumbing! It's amazing how the Falls stay vibrant year-round thanks to those hidden underground springs. 💧🌿

Your photos are incredible Sheri. I would be here every day if I was close by. I can imagine it would be a wonderful thing to jump into that water during hot and humid months. Also a beautiful picture of the birds in flight and the trees are magnificent. I don’t think I would be able to make it back up those steps though, another lovely scene. A lovely quote and I have saved it if that’s okay. Thank you for a wonderful post.
What a special way to spend your day exploring this amazing place! The waterfalls are so spectacular, and I would have to agree that they really are magnificent, so many "spider webs" of water, glorious to see! You took beautiful pictures, and I could just imagine the flow of water and the joy you felt. God's creation brings such immense excitement to my heart - how beautiful this world that He created for us! What a lovely picture of you too! Many blessings to you dear friend!
How wonderful that you got to revisit those beautiful waterfalls, especially before the summer crowds! There's something truly special about having such a natural wonder so close to home. And I completely agree, sometimes it's not about the biggest, but the sheer beauty and peacefulness that truly captures your heart. What a perfect spring outing with your son! Love the photos. Love love it.
I just shared a new post, I invite you to read and let me think.
There’s something magical about waterfalls—always flowing, always mesmerizing.
Sounds like the perfect place to escape, take in nature, and just breathe.
Glad you got to enjoy such a grand day.
Stunning photos as always, Sheri 🌹
Happy belated birthday! Love your title, I often say to Barb "It has been spoken". The waterfalls are awesome and you took some great pictures!
Stunning photos! And yes, made me smile too... Hugs and blessings dear friend Sheri.
Beautiful falls, Sheri, and lovely photos, too. And the girl in pink at the end is adorable, too! I think that would be a lovely place to go in the very hot weather. I imagine it would be refreshing. I wouldn' t have the nerve to jump in UNDER the falls, though. I'm a scaredy cat. Thanks for a lovely post, Sheri. And many thanks for being a faithful follower of Writing Straight from the Heart and commenter, too! You are the best! Hugs. Susan
Wow, I feel like I was just on a mini vacation! Beautiful photography!!
Blessings, Roxy
