Feeling February

February has brought more snow to my area, and with last week's snow and the week before that, we got about 2 feet!  This time, it rained the day after, so the snow melted quickly, and that made it easier to get out.  It's better to have a slushy snow than a hard icy snow, so I was thankful for the rain.  In addition to shoveling, the first thing I always do is scrape the snow off the heaters outside.  My neighbor, Lisa, was outside taking care of her house as well, and we had a nice chat.  She has really helped me these past few years with tips on this mountain living.

Aren't these the cutest Valentine outfits?

There's just something about a simple batch of peanut butter cookies.

Some pictures in town when we had a heavy snow.

Pizza is so good on a snowy day.

Our Charlotte got Baptized this last weekend.  Jess needed her Baptism certificate and all her Holy Sacraments, and asked if I had them for her and Nel.  With all the moves I've made, I have kept those important papers intact and sent them to her right away through e-mail.  So, my dear Charlotte was Baptized, and I am pleased.

Came across this and loved it.

I thought about it for a moment, and still remember the phone number we had growing up.  My dad worked for the phone company, so it was an easy one to remember. ; )

Have a terrific week.  Here, I'm just feeling February.  And enjoying cups of green tea. 💚

That's the kind of snow I remember when I was a kid - the weather in NJ has become much milder and much less snow. This year is the first in many years that there is more snow ! The outfits are adorable as are the girls!! I can't remember my phone number, but I can remember the area code and first 3 digits. !!

Such a Blessing in knowing that Charlotte was baptized. Your babies are so adorable and the outfits were made for them...they are the cutest models. You all have sure had the snow and lots of it!!! The snow is so pretty though. I do actually remember my childhood phone number....UL were the beginning numbers. Back then, in our area, the number always began with letters. Haven't thought about this in years. Hope you have a wonderful Monday Sheri....I always love reading your bog...

I love your mug, it looks Eastery. The Valentine outfits are SUPER cute! Right down to the shoes. I have not seen anything in plaid for Valentine's Day, but it is really a knockout. And of course the girls could wear anything and still look beautiful. I love the password quote, that would be me! The pizza looks so good, did you make it? We got snow and then rain afterward, but only about half the snow that you did! More is coming Wednesday.

Sycamore 7-3914 (SY-73914) was the first number I remember.
The girls are so sweet and those outfits are so cute.
Good news - we’re warming up and could reach into the 70’s next week.I’ll believe it when I see it. Forecasts that far off can change but it’s something to keep a hopeful eye on.
Have a wonderful week.

Good afternoon! You did have a lot of snow this year - so thankful this one went away fast.
Maybe you will be warming up soon.
You have a nice neighbor there.
All three of your granddaughters are so beautiful. I am serious. Love that Charlotte was baptized and that photo of her by the door was so sweet.
I don't think I can remember all of my phone number - 427-????
I love green tea too!

I use my old phone numbers, addresses, grandparents' phone and addresses for passwords. THe girls look darling. I'm so sick of a word of snowy white, though you have more than we do. So, I should stop complaining!

I would love to sit and have a cup of green tea with you.
Thank you for sharing those special Valentine girls with us.

Hi Sheri, what a lot of snow you have had! It looks quite deep, and it makes everything look pretty. Yes, the girls are the cutest in their Valentine outfits. They are very sweet and pretty girls. Love Charlotte's Baptism outfit too. That is wonderful you still have your girls' certificates. I don't seem to have the ones from my children, which is sad. Maybe I gave them to them but I don't remember. Some of my grandchildren are not Baptised, and I always pray that it will happen one day. I remember our phone number from childhood too - our memories are so sharp as kids. Have a great week.

Wow, 2 feet of snow sounds like quite the challenge, but I'm glad the rain helped make it more manageable! It's always nice to have a neighbor like Lisa to share tips with—mountain living definitely comes with its unique set of tasks. And those Valentine outfits? Adorable! It’s those little touches that really make the season feel special.

Those are very cute Valentine outfits, absolutely darling! How lovely that Charlotte was baptized also. You have had a lot of snow. We have a few flakes falling but the promised 8 inches turned into the negligible. It will be the same tomorrow. How lovely to have a neighbor like Lisa. Thank you for sharing the photos around town also. I wish I could have one of those cookies now :) You have given me the idea and I might be making some today. Thanks for another lovely blog post Sheri and have a wonderful rest of the week.

Sheri - your granddaughters are just too cute in their valentine outfits. I can see such joy in their faces too. I am with you about those peanut butter cookies. They are a favorite of mine too. Yes you sure do get piles of snow. More is on its way here too. When it gets into February though they don't seem to last as long...we have more sunshine and it packs a powerful punch. Hugs!
