I haven't done a 'just because' post in a while, so here you go.
My son had to take his car to the auto shop, and the shop is up the mountain, so I thought I'd come along for the morning. While driving up the mountain, I got to take in the beautiful scenery, with all the Fall trees showing their color in the mountain landscape below. The car just needed a part for the shifting, and it didn't take long at all. In the waiting room, I noticed this picture on the wall, and loved it. Such a classic photo.
After the shop we drove through town, and my son showed me the Museum of Art that was around the corner. I have always appreciated paintings from talented artists, especially whimsical ones.

At home cooking, and this was one of the best meatloaves I've made. Had to take a bite of the end before taking the picture. ; )
It's the season for hot chocolate, and I made my first cup one cold afternoon.
Italian bread toasted in the oven with butter and blueberry spread.
I saw these prayer candles at the store, and had to get this very special one. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Catholic devotion that symbolizes Jesus' love for humanity. When I light the candle and say a prayer, a very special moment of peace comes over me.
A mural in my town on main street. No more fires please! Our CalFire workers are exhausted.....and great at what they do.
I bought another soft warm flannel. This one is heavy for the freezing days ahead, and I love the blue colors.
Blueberry loaf with cream cheese frosting. Oh my, was it good.

I was so bummed to find out that my favorite burger place is closing this month. This is where I get my delicious mushroom burgers - there's nothing like them. So, one last time to enjoy the best burger around. I heard that another good eatery will be replacing it, but will have to wait and see.
Some more Fall color before it leaves us.
I have been drinking McCafe' coffee, just to have a change from Starbucks. I miss McDonald's up here, but they sell the coffee at the store.
I watched the movie 'Christmas Together.' It's such a cute Christmas film.
Have a lovely week. ☕

Good morning Sheri... I like your just because post. The murals in your town are so unique and how awesome to see Smoky there. I used to see a lot of signs with Smoky on them, but not so much any more. Beautiful scenery and the Fall colors are just absolutely gorgeous. It is almost the middle of November and those beautiful orange and yellow colors will soon be gone. Gurl...you are making me gain weight just at looking at these pictures of the burger and the dessert. yum!! I've watched a few Christmas movies...mostly in the evening while Sam watches a western on his computer. lol. He thinks the Hallmark Christmas movies are ALL THE SAME. Wishing for you a wonderful second week of the month.
Your posts always bring peace, hope and love. Thank you.

Lovely to see your week Sheri. That photo of the men peering under the hood is a funny one! Glad to hear you enjoyed a day out with your son enjoying the beauty in the mountains. It's sad when a favorite place closes its doors. Hopefully the new restaurant will serve good burgers. Your meatloaf looks great. I haven't made one for a while so thank you for the inspiration. You look so pretty in your new flannel. I'm sure it will keep you cozy and warm in the days ahead. Have a great week!
A nice post, I especially like the moment you had in prayer in front of the candle.
Blue suits you very well, the shirt will definitely keep you warm in winter.
Wish you a wonderful new week

Fall photos are excellent. I live in S. Calif. where it is hot 2/3 of the year. Growing up in Illinois gave me all t h e snow I ever needed.
That's too bad about the burger place. It seems every time I love something, it either closes or they stop making it. The trees there are gorgeous. I love the beautiful blue shade of your shirt. Wish I could find one just like it to fit me!
The Fall leaves looks so pretty and I love your new flannel shirt! Cozy!
What a fun, fabulous day! You're right -- that photo IS a classic -- and I just am wild about your flannel shirt. Pretty color for you and flannel is so cozy. You remind me it's time to make meatloaf again -- tis the season!
Hello Sheri. It's always so nice to see a new post from you. The fall colors are still gorgeous where you live! And all of your food pictures are making me hungry. I can agree that we are both foodies! Your cozy new shirt looks very nice on you. I just looked up that Christmas movie and it looks so cute! I'm going to watch it tonight. Have a wonderful, cozy week!
La comida se ve sabrosa y no ha llevado demasiado tiempo, el arreglo del coche.
Un abrazo.

Beautiful post, thank you for sharing your adventures
Love the flannel shirt. It is not easy to find a plaid that is different.
What a fun post. All the food looked yummy. Love your new shirt too. And the fall colors are so gorgeous! I have been enjoying Christmas movies lately too, but haven't come across this one yet.
I really enjoyed this 'Just Because' post...I feel your pain in losing your favorite place for the mushroom burger. We don't have much fall color left anywhere. It did not last long here. Your flannel shirt looks comfy. I use a big flannel shirt as a jacket a lot of the time. It is not exactly attractive, but it is warm and comfortable.
I like your Just Because post. I agree I have seen that picture before of the men fixing the car. ☺
Why does everything you make and take a photo of look so darn good - even a piece of toast looked delish. My favorite was the blueberry and icing. That looked wonderful.
Sorry your favorite place is closing. I hate that.
Your new blue shirt is a good color on you.
And I liked your candle and your prayer.
Hi Sheri,
I love the fall colors. Sorry about McD's closing and your favorite burger place. Hopefully something yummy comes to your town soon! I love your yummy treats. Enjoy your week!!!
LOVE the print! Too True! lol
That meatloaf looks wonderful...as does that cup of cocoa!
I have the same candle...and I really like that flannel shirt!
Can you ask for the burger recipe now that they are closing?? They probably would give it to you!
Happy week!
hugs
Donna
Hello Friend, I am wearing a flannel shirt today, mine is pink. :-)
I enjoyed your post and photos.
I was sad to hear about the favorite burger place closing.
One of our boys favorite places is also closing at the end of the month.

I enjoyed all the pictures you shared and now I want some meatloaf! I am in So CA. and we don't get really cold here. We sure need rain!! I like your new shirt, looks so cozy. Have a great week!
Oh, Sheri, your post is making me hungry! 😄This was a lovely "just because" stroll. Thanks! I hope you are able to find another "favorite burger" out there.
Oh the "Just Because Post" is superb! All the special photos as well as what you are doing makes you feel close. That meatloaf looks so delicious. Had to smile because of the bite missing. I do the same too. Isn't the first bite the best? Yes it is beginning to be hot chocolate weather here too. Your prayer candle is so special friend. Take care and have a wonderful end to your week. Hugs!
Today's was a nice post, Sheri. Lovely photos, too. The blueberry bread with creamed cheese frosting looks great! Keep up the good work!
Hi Sheri, what a fun post. I love the golden Fall colour so much, it is incredible. Now I am inspired to make a blueberry loaf! I enjoy seeing all your cooking. We used to sing a lovely hymn to the Sacred Heart when I was at school. It is a beautiful devotion. Have a blessed week.
good morning....thanks for coming by and leaving a message on the blog. Good to hear from you. When I was reading about the trip to town with your son, I had scrolled up just far enough to see the butts in the pic and then you were talking about the sights....I had to laugh, course that was before I read it was a pic. LOL.....too early in the morn. Most of my post are just cause I can post!!! I can always find stuff to post about. Love the shirt. Have a good day
So pretty:D
Meatloaf, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and toasted Italian bread bring back memories from growing up. Too bad about the mushroom burgers, maybe you can get the new place to make them. Love all your fall photos!
Hello my friend, a lovely visit today. The drive with your son sounds fun, all those fall colors! I chuckled at the picture from the auto shop. I have seen this painting before but did not know the artist. Thank you for that. Your home cooking always looks appetizing. From the hot chocolate to every food photo, yum! What a great mural and firefighters, not enough words the respect I have for them. We see quite a few Smoky the Bear signs when we drive to the Shenandoah. You look very pretty in your blue flannel shirt, the color suits you really well. I am sorry about your favorite burger place. Thanks for the Christmas movie, I’ll have to check that out too. The candle is beautiful. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday Sheri.
Good morning. Love to you friend.
