Beautiful Anita

You knew that we were blog friends, but did you know that you were my best blog friend?  I am going to miss you here in Blogland.  I loved all of the posts you created.  They were filled with peaceful moments, giving us a little magic with your words, poetry, and photos.  You took us to another place as we opened up your page, only to find many enchanting stories and pictures.

You are smart and clever and wise and creative and kind and just simply wonderful.

And all those e-mails that you sent me through the years!  I loved every one of them.  I enjoyed hearing stories from your childhood and your dear Mom and Dad while growing up in California.  I smiled at all the different font colors you used.   Pink was my favorite.  You sent me this message one day, do you remember?

I loved when you showed us pictures of your home.   You always inspired me to work on my own homes, giving them that extra special touch.  Your house was a labor of love - you worked so hard in your garden for many years, making your home look like a storybook cottage.

Your photos are equisite, and thank you for sending me this picture.  I'll be sure to frame it and hang it up in my home someday.

I know how you want to work on other projects right now in your life, and I look forward to hearing about them all.  Please don't forget your blog friends, as we will never forget you.  You exude grace and love, and you have a way about you that stirs the very heart of each person you meet.

Me and the girls were always fascinated that you were a French teacher.  You sent me these words one time, and now I am giving them to you.  Yes, I keep very special things.

Bonjour ma chere amie!   Que notre Seigneur te benisse!

Be well, my Huckleberry friend, and know that I will be thinking about you often.

I love you,

~me

I am sorry someone who is so sweet gave up her blog. I didn't follow her but checked hers out today. Seems like a wonderful blog - why did she quit? She said she was on Instagram tho....

I thought she sounds familiar. Now I realized I follow her on Instagram. Come on over and join us on Instagram. It is much easier to keep up, but I still (as you know) do two days a week of blogging. I do wonder some days though.

Oh, such a nice tribute, Sherri. I hope you can keep in touch with each other. It's sad when friends stop blogging - it's like when a friend moves far away. I scrolled down to catch up on what you have been up to - lovely photos of your tulips and little family and the sweet deer. Sounds like you are enjoying your mountain home. I like seeing little glimpses of your new home and pretty things. Hope you are getting some nice spring sunshine to cheer you up. Sending hugs xo Karen

Oh Sheri,

I don't know where to begin.

It all magically happened one day way back in 2001 - thanks to my sister-in-law who had been blogging long enough to also carve a place for herself in this beautiful network of souls....

Then my time came. My time came to meet other people such as yourself who really DO care. My friend, I will email you now.

"Thank you" is not enough but I will do my best as I write you shortly via email.

Love you right back.

I am sorry about your blogging friend. I hate when that happens. I like blogging much better then Instagram or facebook, but I do understand why people are moving over there. I hope you can continue to email each other and keep in touch.

Oh it's so nice to see some familiar faces here, like RIA!!! Thank you to everyone for such a lovely page of comments. Instagram is wonderful as a gallery since I'm interesting in developing my photography skills. Blogging was a very special place for me and the memories are so fond. I love so many people whose paths crossed with mine and Sheri you are one of them!

I will SO miss Anita's blog. I rarely go to instagram -- too cluttered for me, less personal. That said, some of the most successful bloggers I know do both and manage with a post or two on blog a week and much more on instagram. Everyone has to decide for themselves. But with Anita's blog it was indeed, a lovely haven from the rest of the world. Her photos are glorious, her poetry eloquent. Yes, she will be missed.

Oh Sheri, I had to come back. What lovely friends to be found from all over the world and in our own world of blogging.

A very dear Instagram friend came over yesterday to look at your blog post and as I re-read your tribute here, I am so very proud that she was able to get a glimpse of who blogging had and will always be a very special place for me.

Thank you again dear and special friend!

I thought that post was going to end differently....thank goodness that it did not end the way I thought it would. YAY....love the house, love the door, love the shutters! Leads me back to your message on my post on the diff color doors. HAHA....I am sure that your blog friend will stay in touch with emails. Hang in there. Thanks for the cool comments on my post. I have always tried to add variety to my blog. I bounce from doors to crafts, projects to pics of hair styles I wore in the past! haha....I blog about what calls to my attention. The doors called to me. Then going through pics on FB I laughed at the diff styles of my hair so I blogged about it. I love my blogging friends.
