Mount Baldy

A few weeks ago, me and Nel wanted to get out of town and took a drive up to Mount Baldy.  If you're not familiar with this place, it's the town before Big Bear.  Mount Baldy Resort is where the little ones had so much fun last Winter.

It's a small quaint village that has restaurants and more, and it snows in the Winter, but this is what it looks like in the Summer.

There are some beautiful yellow flowers
growing right on the mountainside!

I was having such a good time
that I didn't want to leave.

Dealing with a difficult neighbor right now, friends.  I try to keep my distance, but when he knocks on the door and starts to ramble on about this and that, it's very upsetting.  I'm asking you to say a prayer for me, if you would.  In life, we get good neighbors and not so good neighbors, and it's been a hard living situation for me, to say the least.

Jess bought me this new cup - both her and I like polka dots.  I love what it says, and it's fitting for what I want in life right now.

Praying

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

You and I. Peace is all we want. I guess I can consider myself fortunate in my neighbor problem situation because mine hasn't knocked on our door; I pray dear friend that you will be able to do what is right if this continues, in order to keep yourself safe.

I remember one time that my father took me to Mt. Baldy; he had promised me snow but it was early spring and there were only patches of ice on the slopes. Our visit was cut short when a boulder rolled down the hill and severely injured a child! I never went back.

May we both have the character of soul and strength of heart to stay meek yet strong, standing up to the adverse situations in life.

Prayers for you and the terrible neighbor situation. Can you just not answer your door? Or is he standing at your door bothering you even if it is closed? Are you in an apartment and can notify the landloard?
I have those same deer in my yard. (-:
Mt. Baldy looks really nice. I bet you had a lot of fun. We have a Mt. Bally here. It is not a tourist attraction, just a mountain. It looks pretty in the winter covered in snow, but since the fires it is now a Baldy mountain. Hope you have a great day and the neighbor decides to move.(-:

Cindee, No, I live in a house, but his house is right behind mine. That deer family was so cute - had to take a picture of them. : )

Dear sheri,
What a wonderful place to get away to. I think we all need to find a little peace right now and I pray you will get some peace from your neighbor. I always wonder why are we put through these trials!

You and Nel certainly enjoy great adventures together, Sheri! What a lovely trip you had with her. The vegetation there is quite different from our's here, but lovely.
Dealing with difficult neighbors is hard. Maybe you can not answer the door when he knocks. He'll hopefully get the message you want to be left alone. Take care and have a nice week.

MY first concern is to stay safe. I don't know how your neighbor is bothering you but just keep your distance from him. Be aware of your surroundings all the time.

I've had creepy neighbors in my past. They aren't fun to deal with. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

My Baldy looks like fun. We have those same yellow flowing bushes around the Shasta Dam. I believe they are called scotch broom. (Invasive and not native) but still very attractive.

Take care

Your outing sounds like so much fun...I could use one of those.

I will add your situation to my prayer list. It is awful to have terrible neighbors.

Love the cup! So sorry about that bothersome neighbor. No fun at all.
It has probably been 50 years since I visit Mt. Baldy. How nice you had this little get-away. I do remember those yellow flowers in California. It seems like they grow in many places along highways there. My mother was always allergic to the pollen from them.

I have been to Big Bear years ago - I don't know about Mt. Baldy -but it seems incredible.
What in the world is the neighbor rambling on about with you? That is absurd and I will say a prayer for you.
Love the cup and peace.
Stay safe.

What a gorgeous place to visit, Mt Baldy. It is lovely to get out in nature, and enjoy the yellow flowers and scenery - yes, it brings Peace to me too. So sad that you have neighbour trouble and I will include you in my prayers. Is it possible the neighbour has dementia? I do hope the situation can be resolved for you, so soon after your moving house.

Hello my friend! I just saw that you visited my post and I thank you for doing so. Yes my dear, there is a hidden love behind the hurt and the awkward human errors that we all commit and behind every face is the image of Christ. I just learned that today as a dear friend and I spoke.

So the challenges continue. We must walk as close to the peaceful and loving of our Lord so that "The world will know that you are mine by your love for one another."

Peace. (I'm here for you!)

Hey Sheri! Thanks for stopping in and checking on me. Yep, eye lid surgery cause my lids were covering the top part of my pupil. Healing nicely but ready to be done with it! haha...We have bushes here that look like the yellow flowers, Forsythia Bushes but ours bloom in the spring. That close up pick looks like them or maybe in the same family. Not been to Mt Baldy but I have been up in Julian and Palomar Mt. I looked it up, Mt Baldy is 2 hours away from my son's home. Palomar Mt is 1.5 hours away. It was a nice drive up there....I told my son when I got out there that I had thought we needed to take Britney (wife) to see TN mountains BUT then I told him our mts have nothing on Palomar Mt....wow. Amazing. Have you ever been there? DILs dad owns the historical lodge right on the top of that mt. Beautiful. Check it out here~ https://www.vrbo.com/821884

Totally hit publish before commenting on the neighbor thing. Sorry for that and I have had my share of them but luck has normally given me some really great ones. Hang in there, avoid them neighbor.
