Every Day It Is Always There

Every day it is always there
Whether in mind or body
Whether I want it to be or not~
Sometimes it's like being haunted
By a constant presence
Of sometimes happiness
Sometimes anger~
But it is always filled with love
That love is my protector.
That protector is my Mother.

Danelle, I was your age in this photo.  If  you remember, they had us strike a serious pose here.  It was a fun day dressing up in different outfits, and I was thinking of doing it again very soon, with the granddaughters included.

Dear daughters....haunt  your children pleasantly, so that you are beloved in their eyes.  So, that you are a teacher of good and decent things.  Make special memories with them, so that they will have charming stories to tell their own kids.  Haunt your children with endearment, just as your grandmothers have done to me.

Some spooky looking pictures at the trail.
I woke up very early on Sunday,
even before the sun came up, and was on my way.

yet I will endure the darkness because
it shows me the stars."

We've had strong winds here in California, up to 85 mph. in some areas.  There is always a concern of fires when the winds are that fierce.  There are some happening right now in the north and south areas (not close to me), very scary.

It's a tradition of ours to get a jack-o-lantern pizza every year at Papa Murphy's.  Me and my son enjoyed it with coke.  ; )  He loves the football season.

It's a time to dress up.

I love your photos - you and the girls are gorgeous! I am not surprised tho. The photos show that fall is a time to weed out and great rid of unnecessary things. Yet there is definitely a beauty to it. I love the orange and how did you get a photo of the wind blowing through them. The pizza is cute. Have a good day! Love, sandie

Beautiful pictures of you and family!
It is so fun for the kids to dress up.
We are starting to get fall colors here too.
We have not had a frost here yet though.
The wind and fires are terrible.
We are out of school again today because of the power being off.
I hear there is another event starting tomorrow.

I always enjoy your posts. They make me smile. Beautiful daughters - they take after you. Your scary walk photos are cool.

We had strong winds on Sat night so bad I thought the roof would blow off. But we have power and all is well. I feel bad for those who don't.

Take care.

Halloween will be here soon.....almost time for the little ones to dress up and go out Happy Halloweening! I love it. We never said it when going out but we used to joke about saying this, " Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat"!!! haha. Don't teach that to the young girls! haha....Love the picture of the three of you. That was so serious looking but I love it. I would have busted out laughing if I had to give a serious look on command. You and the girls are beautiful, and so are those baby girls.

Oh, I love your little granddaughters. I know they will be cute Trick or Treating.
The picture of you and your daughters is lovely. Your long curls are gorgeous.
Can you believe that since I was a little girl (9 or so) I had this same exact music box girl playing the piano???
A portrait of you with the granddaughters is a wonderful idea. They grow so quickly.
I love the pizza tradition and am so happy you and your son enjoyed a visit together.
God bless you. xoxo

Good morning dearest Sheri,

Yes, the one and only thing for me during this season of fear is to shine the light, even in the darkness. That is when we burn the brightest. What a great photo of you and the girls and this is a tradition that must be continued with all the women in your family, in the same photo. Go for it and have a fun end of October!

That last shot is too precious for words...I love your trail shots. Not spooky for me but beautiful! The picture of you and your girls...you remind me of someone so much but I cannot put my finger on who. I have stared stared and stared. It is someone from my past. You girls sure were beautiful...and still are.

That is such a beautiful portrait of you and your daughters! And is that your mother in the next photo? She was so lovely, Sheri. I am sure that your daughters will pass down the endearing qualities of their mothers and grandmothers.

What a beautiful picture of you and your daughters. It would be great to re-create it again and add the grandchildren in. Love the trail photos - very fall looking. Leaves here don't really change colors. They just turn brown and fall to the ground.

Hiking trails are always so spooky, no matter what time of the day. Great shots...love the spots of red. And I'm happy to see that you got snail mail from someone! It's such a lost art these days. Have a great fall season.
