Summertime Part I

Summer is a magical time for a teacher,

perhaps the most magical time of the year.

A time to renew and recover,

to reflect and plan for the future,

a time to travel and surround oneself with beauty and bliss,

a time for family and home projects

Time. While there never seems to be enough of it during the school year, it hangs around a little longer during these warm summer days.

Life is complex, but I have so appreciated the sweet simplicity of summer.

What a wonderful post, Jess. I felt like I was out enjoying the summer in your photo's. I am learning to slow down and rest these days, I love your fairy house and the bird houses. Hopefully in the fall my hubby will be able to travel and we can go somewhere to relax.
Have a great day!

I think summer is a lovely time, especially when you have time off work. I'm not too happy to return to work next Monday, but thankful that I had such a long break. Most people don't get that...
It looks like you really enjoyed the summer weeks and I hope it gave you the opportunity to relax and re-fuel.

Oh this is DELIGHTFUL dear Jess!

you painted your mesmerizing summer time before my eyes so amazingly :)

life is most blessed and beautiful when one's physical being is surrounded by all the blessings that matter for a "happy" life

specially when heart has ability to realize the that how much blessed one is :)
Gratitude makes life perfect well almost :)

I hear ya, Jess. I've been off and enjoying mostly quiet, lonely days. The latter used to be a reality that saddened me and even made me feel unimportant, not having anyone to fill my home with for parties, etc...but the solitude is actually a gift. For us teachers, we know how important it will be for us to get back, be of sound mind and strength to be able to sift out all that is needed and not needed in order to do our jobs to the best.

Here's to a few more weeks of relaxation.

I am so happy to see these beautiful pics, all your pics describe something interesting. The first picture is so pretty, I'm curious to know if the picture is from your garden? The second one featuring the flowers is also lovely. I would love to know about these flowers. Summer is really pleasant but we have a gloomy rainy season in my city. Waiting for some good sunshine. Love the post dear.
Have a pleasant day.

How wonderful summer is indeed! I too am enjoying this simple season. I am so excited to be a grandma and was so pleased to see your visit to see the baby shower photos. The favors? I put together a little kit of "paper bag popcorn" for the guests to take home and pop since "she is getting ready to pop". The game prizes were little bottles of prosecco (also to pop at home when she pops) :) It was fun!

What a totally sweet post, Jess. My daughter and her hubs are both teachers so I can identify with your post. Summer is wonderful, isn't it? I try to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out each precious day. Hope the rest of yours is awesome. Susan

I am glad you do have the summer to refresh yourself. I could never be a good teacher...but so thankful there are those of you who love it. Our girls had some wonderful teachers...and our granddaughter has loved every teacher she has had, and they have loved her, too.

Oh, you will appreciate this. When Lorelei was in kindergarten, she would raise her hand, and Mrs. S. would say "Lorelei, what do you need?" She would tell Mrs. S "I could use a hug." Needless to say, Mrs. S was going switch to teaching 1st grade the next year, and ask my daughter if she minded if she requested to have Lorelei be in her class.

Beautiful pics! Now I want to know what type of cookies those are!? I am glad you are getting refreshed and renewed. That is always important to continue with all life throws at you from time to time. School started back in Nashville TN today. Crazy, seems like the kids don't have the summers we used to have.

Thanks for your reply dear, I love all the flowers you have clicked, it's great that you have dahlias and fuschias even in summers.

Have a lovely day.

I love Summers too for that is the time we get to spend a lot with our family outdoors and it is when great memories are created. I love all the pics you shared especially the bird houses, just this week I asked my husband if we could buy some colorful bird houses for our bedroom windows since I love the sound of visiting chirping sparrows in the morning, I want them to have a place to rest. The macarons look especially yummy. Have a great Summer 🌸🌻🌼☀💄

Jess, that little fairy walkway and door is so funny. And I love the bird houses. I want to bite into that cupcake and macarons. I'm glad you cleaned your porch area and are spending time out there with Francesca. I noticed her scribbling on the chalk board. : ) Relax and enjoy the rest of the Summer days.
