Magnolia Street

It does my heart good to take a drive in the country once in awhile.  There's always something interesting to see, and I come back home with a refreshed outlook.

There is one particular antique shop that I visit every time I'm out this way.  I thought this swan gate was delightful for a garden.

I stopped at the original Lorenzos....
Yummy tacos.

On to the bakery.
Thought I'd get a treat to take home with me.

Love this sign.

  And speaking of magnolia....
there is a pretty magnolia tree right in my neighborhood with the biggest blooms ever.

I often browse through the nursery.  There was a big golden fish in the fish pond that was beautiful.

Driving home.

I guess I've always had a bit of
country in me.

Now, I think I'll have my treat
with a cup of coffee.  ; )
(raspberry Danish)

That swan gate IS delightful! And I like the statuary. Oh, so many pretty things here -- those tall glass things in the median and beautiful flowers. Yummies, too! It sounds like a great day!

Love the swan gate! If I were an eccentric old lady living in a mansion on a tree-lined avenue in the heat of the Olde South...I would need that gate.

What a very lovely adventure. Thanks for sharing it with us. Now I want a raspberry danish with my tea. Everything was gorgeous, loved the magnolia and your stop to see the fish and walk in the garden.

Sheri, it looks like a wonderful day out doing wonderful things! I love the swan gate--it appears to be an antique. All the flowers are beautiful. The purple echinacea is blooming a lot earlier than our's here. A fun day with a sweet treat at the end--Yum!

I love all your photos and your story - it is like I was walking with you seeing these things with you. I loved that swan gate- gorgeous and I love teal. All the flowers are in bloom an out. I would not guess you had Magnolia trees there - but you sure do. I wondered what you picked out to eat - raspberry danish. In the park - was that colorful glass? And you are a very pretty country girl. sandie

Dear, dear Sheri!!!!!!!!

I love the country. The French countryside, the British countryside, the Central California countryside and the open plains of Minnesota. In all these places, the music of nature sings to me in bird songs, the wind and the perfume of the native plants. How gorgeous is your journey here that you share, and to top it off, that GATE!!!!! It's like an entry into your day of magical moments. I truly think you should do something with that photo of the gate. It's a winner!

Hey me again, I went back and looked at your post again. I was blogging, on the phone, talking to the dogs and watching tv so I said the smallest amount. I love your pics, your ride around looks so peaceful and rewarding. I so love a good back road, country ride around. I am needing a good one long myself. Have a great day.

Thank you my friend, for coming to visit my blog post. Aren't those roses so pretty in the photos? And the garden bistro set....that is from my friend's antique shoppe. You should see the one I purchased a few summers ago from another pal...white, lacy design, sublime.
