A Night Out In Hollywood

Nel went to a bridal shower and a Bachelorette party for her sister-in-law.  It was at a 1920's-style Hollywood speakeasy.  They were all dressed up and had a fun time.  The man with the top hat was their host for the evening.

To get into the club, they had to give a secret password.   Guess what the password was?......"moonlit."  Here's Nel and the bride to be.

This is the cake from the bridal shower.  Isn't it darling?  The cupcakes were red velvet with cream cheese frosting.

Nel said it was really cool,
and they all had a lot of fun.

What a great idea for a bridal shower! Your daughter is lovely and I'm sure that she had a great time. The cake was adorable-such a sweet idea. Congratulations to the bride to be! ♥

The 20's is an age I could very well see your family living in. Not only fashion wise - though Nel looks oh-la-la in these pics - but also for the way you stand tall in life. And always looking happy and beautiful. Those were probably the last magical years in History. In Europe I feel many times a nostalgia for what it was so I imagine it has to do of what would be lived decades after.

That being said I don't think Nel should have joined this Family. :kidding: It's utterly selfish to gobble all the good genes this way ahahahahah. Oh my, the bride to be is so beautiful. OK she's happy and that adds a special shine but she's (pure) Hollywood material! WOW! WOW! And what about that dapper and handsome gentleman in the first picture?

And this is "just" a party ;). Can't begin to think about the wedding itself. I hope Nel has CPR in her as the groom might need at the altar ahahahahah

Thank you for sharing the fun, Nel and Sheri!

How utterly charming. I remember when I was in my late teens, early twenties, before getting married, I'd go out with friends to Hollywood and was able to still find a charm there that was invented back when Hollywood first got established. It's great to see young people can still find and make that charm yet today.

I wish you a peaceful and beautiful day today my dear friend.

It is wonderful seeing a younger generation embrace historical tradition and style! Nel and her bride to be friend are stunning! I have my grandmother's hand painted wedding dress from that era.

The cake is adorable.

I am finally back in the blog groove again. Thank you for your visits and encouragement when time did not always permit me to visit long enough to comment at Red Rose Alley!

Hi Sheri,
How sweet of you to come over for a visit. Yes, I have been to Hollywood. It has been years..When my son was in his 20's he was in a band, they played in Hollywood at the Wiskey..
Wishing you a beautiful week. I was just outside looking up at the beautiful moon..
