Happy Birthday, My Friend

Today's my best friend's birthday.  It's a big one, so I thought I'd do a post and wish her a day filled with fun and joy and love.

She grew up in the country, when there was nothing here but fields.  It is where I live now, and everything seems to have changed, but at the same time, some things are just the same.

We've known each other since high school, and were often asked if we were "twins" wherever we went.

This is the prettiest bird that I've seen around here, so I am sending it to her on her birthday.   Anyone know what kind of bird this is?

I just saw her for her birthday celebration, and  gave her this tea cup from Anthropologie with some white tea.  I have one just like it, and am drinking my tea and thinking of her today.

Happy Birthday, friend.
Celebrate You!

love,
~Sheri

Sheri,
Such a blessing to have life long friends and I am wishing your friend a very special day too.
Such a pretty and sweet photo of the two of you-
I am making a very long shot of a guess on the bird, is it a red headed woodpecker?
Enjoy your tea, sweet Sheri!
Love,
Jemma

My dear Sheri, you are just one of the kindest friends anyone could ever have. I have so many friends from the past that are still in my heart. I think sometimes that those childhood/adolescent friendships last the longest. I hope your friend has the most wonderful day! You look beautiful...Anita

Happy birthday to your dear lovely friend Sheri. It's a gift having a lifelong friend. The tea cup is so pretty, I was going to get some homeware from Antroplogie when I was in the US but I was worried of excess luggage.
Hope you are having a wonderful week dear.

Hugs,
Aida

That's a blessing to have such a friendship, priceless in fact.

Sheri, thank you for asking about Milo. He is a miniature long-haired dachshund. I had dachshunds too as a child. He is doing better today finally after taking him off the antibiotic he was on and finding something that he would eat--chicken livers.
