White Horse

It's time to take a break from moving, and take some pictures.  We live on the edge of a country road, and there is a white horse that I see every time I pass by.  Today I stopped to appreciate his grace and beauty.

I have a thing for horses, but white horses are magical to me.  If this horse were mine, I would greet and embrace him, and ride far away in the distance.  So tell me, do you love horses too, or are you timid of them?  Maybe they don't interest you.....I'd love to know.

Sheri, In my life , I have only been on a horse two times. Once when I was in sixth grade ona tour of a farm. Once when my husband and I went to a stables to ride horses....they gave me the biggest horse, I had to get on a barrel to get on the horse. Then the horse just stood around for about 5 minutes, cause I sure did not know how to make him go any where. So that was it for my riding days. LOL. But you know as kids we all wanted a horse of our own. :):) Hope you like your new home. Can't wait to see your decorating. xoxo,Susie

When I see the word horse on my blog roll I am drawn like a bee to pollen. Yes, I too love horses. I like their beauty and their wise eyes. Did you read the novel Horse Heaven by Jane Smiley? I think that is the one, where she writes at times from various horse's points of view.

Dear, dear friend,

you know I LOVE these animals. And the horse I used to ride was WHITE! To this day, white horses are my favorites, but I do love a paint or a good old chestnut! Call me crazy, but I especially love the PERCHERONS or Belgian Giants! They are monsters, but so gentle!

Yes, I love them, and thank you for sharing this gracious creature. PERFECT FACE!!!!!!

Thank you for taking a break from moving. How is it going?

Hi Sheri...

Oh, that white horse IS magical. So, so graceful and lovely.

When I was young I took horseback riding lessons and used to ride in Ohio. It was so much fun but I never got over my fear of falling off (or getting thrown off) and cracking my spine. ha!

I love to look at them these days, though. Hope you have a nice weekend. Susan

How fortunate you are to live along the edge of a country road and to pass this magnificent creature daily!
My middle daughter has taken horse riding lessons and enjoyed them so much, but as for me-I never have, but I do admire them very much.
Have a lovely weekend,

Good morning Sheri my friend! It is Saturday morning, it is early (the way I like it) and I am just reading your sweet comment.

Yes, a white horse was my pick when we'd go to a family friend's ranch up in the Malibu Hills, every summer. the ENTIRE immediate family (aunts, uncles, cousins) would gather in the canyon below our friend's gorgeous ranch. He had horses and us kids would ride, go hiking, play up on his ranch where there were great farm animals. But that white horse was my favorite. At that time, I had very long hair, and they used to call me Lady Godiva while I rode that white beast!!!!!!!

I am glad to hear you are enjoying your new HOME! I find it fun to unpack and arrange things...and in my 18 years here in this house, I still rearrange furniture and change things around. HAVE FUN!

I wish you a splendid day today dear and great friend! Anita

Hi Sheri, hope you've settled in your new home slowly. Moving can be daunting but at the same time exciting. I love the turquoise blue mermaid. And that white horse really is enchanting. Like a fairy tale. I wasn't really a big fan of horses until I met my hubby. He was an equestrian and had few horses. Horses are actually lovely companion and loyal friends.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs,
Aida
