The old statues standing in every corner of the church makes it a peaceful place to be. I thought the light shining on this picture was a lovely sign.
This is the church that I got married in, and Jess wants to get married here too. I hope she gets her wish someday. Outside the church are rows of pretty roses just waiting for me to appreciate them.
All the ceremonies in my life took place in this church. I love my church....and this guy's pretty ok too.

A wonderful, spiritual place.
Enjoy the weekend Darling....love from me.....xxx!
I love the stained glass in churches. Cute last pic. :-)
Such a lovely place, indeed. And the connection - it's the same with people - adds beauty, interest. In them and in us.
Love (lots),
Teresa
"People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
those glasses really looks pretty
I have been to church once when i was in india.
Beautiful photography!
Beautiful post Sheri. I love our church also. But about 7 years ago they torn down the old one (which I dearly loved) and built a new one. I feel it is to modern and cold and doesn't have the warmth that the old one did.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful post with us.

Sheri, All the beautiful roses, makes this the church for you.:):) I love stained glass. I love the smell of old churches. When it's quiet, we can think of our Lord. I hope Jessie gets married there too. It will be extra special since it's where you married. Blessings dear friend, xoxo,Susie
Beautiful....

Hi Sheri,
The stained glass windows are so beautiful and I love the way the light is shinning through. The roses growing outside are wonderful too.
Lovely that you and your Son were able to enjoy some time together.
Happy weekend

I'm not catholic, but I do love the sacredness and the precious rituals that go with your celebration of faith. I have met so many wonderful Catholic friends in the faith. I think it would be great to just sit and enjoy the peace that comes with being still in a sacred place. The stained glass is beautiful!
I love seeing and looking at old churches.....I know the spiritual side is more important but the beauty of the craftmanship is breathtaking! I did a post on churches over a year ago....pictures I had taken on little road trips too! Beautiful post~~~Blessings~~~Roxie
Hehe I love the comment at the end :) What a special place, one that was so significant for bringing you to this point today. Of course you had to say hello to the roses! Roses are so beautiful and perfect, they cheer up any day :) Hope you have a good weekend my good friend Sheri :)
bellissime foto....bellissime le rose...
un abbraccio...
sono diciamo tornata dalle vacanze :D
Hello my sweet friend! I have missed you... been busy with dog shows. I love your post! I'm Catholic and very happy to be Catholic, I agree with everything in our doctrine. I will be at mass early this evening so I will see stained glass as well ;)
Hope you have a blessed week!

That cobalt blue window Sheri, OH WOW! My favorite! And to think you go with your kids? This is why a church even exists. People, families, broken souls, happy hearts....to gather and love one another - in the colors of love.
HAPPY WEEKEND!
How wonderfully marvelous! I too love our Church, you know I am a revert (kinda weird name) but I truly love The Catholic Church....it's home !!!!
Thank you so so much for slipping me back into your beautiful blog, I feel loved. By the way, I love you much, have a happy weekend friend!!!
Dear friend Sherri,
Oh how I love churches, even my granddaughters take pictures of my favorite saints for me on their travels. The stained glass is gorgeous, love it. Have been away from my blog just like Sherri but hopefully will be able to keep it up again. Speaking of Catholic, I am making jewelry with Mary, Jesus and other saints. Will post some on my blog sometime.
Love your post, Blessings, Lu
Those windows are beautiful and it's so nice that you have a long history there. Plus all the wonderful memories!

I also love the church most where I have been baptized and where I got married. Unfortunately it is not in Hamburg but in Bavaria where my parents live. So, when being there I always pay a visit to it! The coloured windows in your church are very pretty, Sheri.
Hugs, Barbara
Sheri,
So very, very special that you are still able to attend the Church in which you were married in and raise your family in it. Beautiful traditions are set in place. I too love stained glass windows-our Church has a very large round one above the Cross with Jesus and a lamb.
Beautiful photos, Sheri.
Love,
Jemma
Ever since I was a small child I have loved stained glass windows.Absolutely gorgeous, havent seen one in ages.
Look at those colors on the stained glass, the light dances so beautifully. The roses are gorgeous too, my friend. How special to have experienced several important occasions in the same church.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
