Lake's Beauty

Recently, me and
my husband went
to the lake.  It's
been a long time,
and we forgot how
peaceful it was.

This is the spot
me and my friends
used to hang out
when we were
teenagers.

The view was
so pretty.

The sun
glistening on
the water.

A flock of ducks
enjoying the day.

Some young
girls riding their
beautiful horses.

A black crow
stripping bark
off the tree.

A stand up
paddler out for
some morning
excercise.

Driftwood
coming inland,
and heart-shaped
rocks.

We spotted this
little squirrel
before he tried
to hide.

These purple
flowers were
lovely.

A message
from husband.

Oh, the beauty
of the lake.

Sheri,

This post reminds me the Cinderella quote - and we never overcome the Cinderella in us - "Do you love me because I am beautiful, or am I beautiful because you love me?".

The Love - for Nature, for Peace, for Beauty - that brought you there when young keeps seeing you coming back with other Loves.

It's your place. Your little Secret World. That you need to share and enjoy with them. Yes, it's a beautiful spot because you love it. And Peaceful. So Peaceful. Glad you have that oasis to walk to, through...

Thank you for sharing. In many years to come I hope to imagine you there and knowing you're safe and loved by a Bigger Power. Nature's and...

Love,

Teresa

I also note a pattern in the alley that makes me smile everytime. One year ago we didn't have, or I didn't notice it. The way both you and Nel have husbands. It's not that they didn't exist before. No. They were. I knew they existed. But somehow they are more present right now. Or I didn't noticed before. Didn't need to... And use the word in such a loving way. In a companionship and loving way. Warms my heart. So, see? Can't stop smilling when I read "me and my husband" "my husband and I". Asking special blessings for my second-favorite guys in the world.

OH YEAH....OH YEAH! Water. Water is my absolute favorite of the natural elements and I have been blessed with two special paintings from friends. One is an acrylic and the other an oil. Oh Sheri, what glory.

What a serene setting for the two of you to share. I can almost hear the water lapping along the shore and the sound of the breeze whispering in the trees.
Such beauty and such a lovely post, Sheri!
