Lovely Fairy

Remember the fairy that I bought that reminded me of Jess? Well, I found one that had Nel written all over her and wanted to show you. She looks like she came straight from the 20's, and Nel loves that era.

Her hair is swooped up with a sea shell clasp and looks so charming.

Nel loves the style and jewelry of the dazzling 20's and their lifestyle seemed to be so fun and carefree.

We find the 20's to be such a delightful time in history.  Do you have a favorite era that sparks your interest?

The fairies went from the world, dear,
Because men's hearts grew cold;
And only the eyes of children see
What is hidden from the old...

Hi Sheri,

Love the sweet fairy and even sweeter when they remind you of your lovely daughters. The 20's era was a fabulous time, going by the photos and movies I have seen.

Hope that you are enjoying the week

The Flapper era was indeed very "tres chic". All that glamor and style was fun. I have always had an affinity for the 40's. I loved the hair, clothes, and movies from that era. Some of my all time favorite female stars were Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Ginger Rogers and my all time favorite Katharine Hepburn. I loved them all! :)

I Love all eras. No, really! Even the present Ilove with the same intensity I look to the previous ones (even the feared 80's ahahahah).
But the 20's and the 30's were such a creative time - the fashion, the music, the Art Deco.

A great choice for someone who loves books and fairies. Well done, Nel... and Sheri.

Feel my hug,
Teresa

Good morning beautiful Sheri!

I love the MEDIEVAL period of fairies but any era suits me when it comes to these ethereal beings!

I hope you summer is going well my dear. LOVE! Anita

Pretty fairy. I'm not recognizing hre, though. My grand daughter is a fairy expert and knows all of the fairy names and when that picture popped up she said, "Who is that.... I don't know her. What kind of fairy is she!" and on and on.... We didn't know there were fairies before Tinkerbell! *LOL*

Hi Sheri

Oh I love this fairy! What beautiful work.. ahhh the music... Love it.
My favorite era would be the 40's..
I love the dress, hairstyles and the music..
I am sorry I am so late in getting back to you...

Lions are magnificent animals.. At least I think so.. I have not attempted to draw a lion in years, but yes they are my sketches..
Thank you for your kind words... I would like to hear more about the special place they hold in your heart.
Blessings,
Penny

I think I love all vintage eras... there's something so romantic about the past...I think if I had to pick, though, I'd pick the forties around WW2! Maybe I would be a nurse with really cool hair and red lipstick.

The Roaring 20's, for sure. Love that sweet seashell top the fairy is wearing. She is delightful.

THANK YOU MY DEAR for visiting me yesterday! I am a romantic as well and figure, "Why go through life without expressing how you feel about beauty?"

I've always loved that era too...along with the 30's and 40's as well. Sometimes I think I should have been born then. :)
