Have Breakfast with Me

Good morning sweet friends.

It's a bit cloudy here by the coast, so to brighten the day I decided to treat myself to a donut and coffee.

Donuts always remind me of being young. When Jess and I were girls, our mom would take us to our favorite donut shop across the street from the train tracks. There, she would tell us funny stories from her childhood, while we enjoyed our warm pastries and watched the trains whiz by.

Now they're a rare treat for me, but donuts still make me happy. Maple, chocolate, glaze...there are so many delicious flavors to choose from! Today, though, I had to go with my favorite...

This crumb donut went perfectly with a cup of freshly ground coffee.

Have a bite? ( :

I hope you will indulge in something delightful today too.

Hi Nel ~~~ I remember my parents buying us 3 kids donuts when we went shopping in the city Bismark ND. I used to get the Bismark donut and thought that the donut was called a Bismark because we were in Bismark. However, now I know that is not true.

Your breakfast does look might delicious. Blessings to you today.

Yummy..sounds perfect to me. I always enjoyed going to 'Tim Horton's' when I was living in Canada..they always did the best doughnuts and the tastiest cups of coffee (I would always go for a mocha coffee there).
Who can resist a tasty doughnut :)

Sheri dearest, thank you for coming to visit me with your WORDS OF SWEET FRIENDSHIP! I see there are many people who are having to make a MOVE. Whether it is a physical space move or a career transition, many of us are in a state of DWELLING on a concern...may we ALL dwell on the life and light around us, knowing it is on OUR SIDE. LOVE TO YOU MY DEAR SWEET FRIEND! Anita

Oh, you make me want to go up to our local donut shop, The Donut Wheel, and pick up a treat! I love that our marine layer is back and cooling off the temps here. I am a true blue coastal temp wimp! If it gets over 80 I just melt.

Oh I love donuts, and cupcakes too! I am weak for sweets... no willpower what-so-ever! UGH

My favorites are Krispy Kreme! They had a factory not far from my home. Everytime my son & I would pass by we would have to stop for a donut. Rasberry filled. Yummo!

Thank you, Nel. Although it is now lunch time for me, I can't resist your offer. ;) Delish! It's cloudy on the east coast too. :( Florida's no fun without Mr. Sun, or at least not as much fun.

Happy Saturday!!
