Winter Wreaths

This year Jess and I both wanted holiday wreaths to spruce up our homes for the Christmas season.

We saw so many really beautiful ones while out shopping the other day, but they were all so pricey - as much as $60 in some cases!

So we decided to get creative and make our own.

We each picked out trimmings that would complement our home decor.

Jess loves the color red.

I love gold and warm earth tones.

Both Jess and I used these ruby red gems my mom had to give our wreaths a little extra sparkle.

We were quite pleased with the way our holiday projects turned out.

Have you been working on any fun Christmas crafts?

I used to go to a wreathmaking party at a church for many years and made my own fresh pine wreath. Then carpal tunnel forced me to stop going. Yours are beautiful. xo

They are both stunning. You all did a great job and isn't is so much fun, rather than buying them. You know I make all mine and of course I sell them, but I love making my own more. Enjoy your creations! I Love Them!!

Two most gorgeous wreaths! Y'all did a wonderful job making your wreaths. I don't know why a 'bought' one has to cost so much! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,

So pretty! It's fun to make them ourselves! We go to a really cool nursery where they have the greens and tons of decorations and bows and we pick out what we want on our wreaths and they make them for us while we wait. Last year, my wreaths were lavished with tartan plaid...which was fun because we are Scottish.

Your wreaths are both very beautiful and so much nicer than the ones you buy, because you have put so much love and care into it.
I have been trying to finish a few small Christmas gifts.

Happy week

So pretty ~ both of them. I love the addition of the little gems.
No holiday crafting happening here ... just lots of decorating.

Your wreaths turned out so pretty! I think you both did a great job. I like how you took a plain green wreath and turned into something special to match your decor. I agree with you about how overpriced most wreaths are. That was a wise idea to make your own. Thanks for sharing!
