During the Christmas season, we love to sit and watch our favorite Christmas movies. "White Christmas" has been mine for many years. I like everything about this movie - the sentimental story behind it, the dancing, and the singing. My favorite part is when Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney share sandwiches and buttermilk, and together sing the beautiful song, "Count Your Blessings." This show is a classic.
Nel's favorite movie is "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." Her favorite part is when the Grinch is sledding down the mountain, and after a tumble he sees that Max, his reindeer dog, is no longer pulling his sleigh. When the Grinch turns around he finds Max waving at him from the back of the sleigh, enjoying the ride with a big smile on his face.
Jess' favorite is "Elf." She likes Elf because the movie is really clever. She thinks Will Ferrell is so funny, and the shots of New York in the winter are fun to watch around Christmas time.
We also like "Home Alone." We think Kevin is so funny and cute as a little boy. This movie also has a great soundtrack.
"A Christmas Story" is another classic we all love. It's a time to reflect back and see how Christmas' were like years ago. We especially love the end when they go to the Chinese Restaurant and the mom is cracking up at the table because the duck is smiling at her. This movie always makes us laugh.
Is there a favorite Christmas movie that you watch every year?

I love all of these, Sheri, but White Christmas is my favorite holiday movie. I watch it in my pj's, popcorn and hot cocoa at hand, every December. Don't you just love "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing"? I catch myself smiling every time I watch it. Kind of feels like I'm floating along with them. Okay, now I'm going to hum it all day long. Love it!
I watch eveything.
No really.
I'm the silliest person around Christmas...
I'm hopeless with Christmas tunes and Winter sightings on movies.
Give me a love story with Melissa Gilbert, a farm and a couple of daughters, some snowed in scenes and I'll burn the cake...
Ok, I'll stop now. On Christmas, more than ever, I'm a sucker for Happy Endings and Heart-warming stories.
Yours, without any surprise, are winners. I love Grinch too (something about a bad boy to warm a mum's heart I guess) and Home Alone I'm getting a bit tired - I raised my son with that (I swear my son tried to memorise the all thing just in case), then my daughter (who couldn't believe going through all that trouble and mess - her aproach was much more immediate and no hanging around to see what happened - women don't get lost the same way men do ahahahah) and it still gets in my nerves the fact that they lost one - it's not a matter of numbers but who is and isn't in the bunch.
Happy Holidays Sweet Family!
I also love the 'Grinch the stole Christmas' and 'The Christmas Story', I try to watch those every year if I can. I also quite like 'A Christmas Carol' (especially the Muppet one). I haven't seen 'White Christmas', I will have to see if I can watch that this year.

Enjoy!
All the Best,

Oh- I love your picks..our son can imitate Will Ferrell like he was his twin.
My personal favorite, I guess, is It's A Wonderful Life. I used to sit and watch it with my father and he loved Jimmy Stuart. And I loved the guy that played the angel.
I hope you are having a wonderful week. We are still busy here with new baby and post-surgery Mama. I haven't done a thing for Christmas yet. xo Diana
Our family likes to watch A Christmas Story together every year. One of my favorites is with Cary Grant in The Bishop's Wife!
Blessings,
Janet
We love the vintage movies. Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas and Holiday Inn. Great post. Take care.
A Christmas Story hands down!! Bumpus hounds!!! Remember the scene when the dogs stole the turkey, that happened to us as kids, sort of. My mom had set our leftover turkey in the cold garage too cool, the garage door was open and you guessed it the neighbors dog stole our turkey. No leftover that year, Laura
Love Miracle on 34th, the newer one. My fav is A xmas story, boys, has to be Jingle all the way with Arnold.
Classic HAVE TO WATCH, White Xmas. We saw it live on Broadway in N.Y. FABULOUS.
I'd like to find out what movie "While you were sleeping" is all about.
Must be nice to have the girls there to help you decorate and shop and sip hot coco with Sheri. I miss that.
Love you

White Christmas is my all-time favorite Christmas movie, too! I watched it every year for years. I haven't for awhile, but think I will watch it this weekend to start the holidays. I am in love with the movie Little Women with Winona Ryder. I just recently purchased the soundtrack. it is so beautiful, it makes me tearful. Jess, we just all watched Elf. It was on t.v., and we all just started watching and couldn't stop. So funny and endearing. Here's to the holidays! Mona

Such great Christmas movies to watch each and every year and enjoy over and over. One of my favorites is "It's a Wonderful Life". A true "oldie but goodie". Great fun getting the boxes of Christmas decorations out--usually a memory or story goes with each decoration. Mickie :)
