Into the city I went last week to celebrate my son's birthday, and it was a fun-filled day. We left very early in the morning, so the first stop was to get breakfast at the quaint cafe, which always serves homemade meals, and has a big bakery section. I ordered a chocolate croissant with a cup of coffee. It was a mega shopping day, and I got to visit all the places that I can never get to.....Target, Hobby Lobby, JC Penney, Home Goods, Michael's, and World Market. Everything is Fall out there right now, with Hobby Lobby being my favorite this time. I got a little wooden fox there that you will see along with the pics. And I couldn't resist the softest cream colored pumpkin at Home Goods that I'll show you when we get closer to the Fall season. Of course, while I was shopping at Home Goods, my son went over to Sprouts and enjoyed their variety of Sushi. We watched the new movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. The theatre is different now, and you have to pick your seats when paying. As always, I indulged in popcorn with extra butter. There's nothing like theatre popcorn. It was an exciting movie, with some scenes leaving you on the edge of your seat. Scarlett Johansson is such a good actress, and it was entertaining. We tried a new Mexican Restaurant, which was really good. The tacos and salsa had a sweetness to it, which was different. And German chocolate cake for dessert. The drive home was about 50 minutes, but it seemed to go by quickly. A day in the city, and we had a blast.

Happy Birthday to your Son!
Y’all had a busy and wonderful day as a great way to celebrate together.
How fun. The bright sunflower decor at the restaurant is sure festive. I don’t remember that when I last visited there; probably 15 years ago.
I noticed the Columbus Salami. My first husband used to work there years ago delivering to stores etc. To me, the best San Francisco style dry salami ever - the only salami I buy.
I’m so glad you and your son had a nice visit and wonderful time enjoying each other. Happy Birthday to him and congratulations for raising such a fine son.
May you gave sweet blessings this week. 🍰
The fox looks cute. I've never seen one in the shape of a pumpkin before, what a great idea.
You really had a lovely day in the city. I like the photo of you, you look happy.
Snoopy... I love that mug. ;-)
I enjoyed all the photos of your day in the city.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR SON.
What a nice way to celebrate one's birthday - to spend the whole day celebrating.
I love chocolate croissants - it's milk chocolate day today.
That was a lot of stores - did you go into all of those?
I am not a sushi fan but a lot of people are.
We saw that movie - it was good, but to be honest, I like the last one before that the best.
I love buttered popcorn.
The sunflowers in the Mexican restaurant.
The painted pumpkin mug.
So glad you had such a wonderful time.
I think I am losing it I posted my blog a day early!
Hope your son enjoyed a wonderful Birthday. You really did do some shopping and at all of my favorite stores. The little fox pumpkin is the cutest!! Makes you want to go ahead and decorate for Fall. This is a great picture of you Sheri...you are so cute!! And you are so right when it comes to popcorn..You just can't beat that buttered popcorn at the movie theaters. I love it!! I love that he celebrated by allowing you the time to visit some of your favorite places... Lots of love here..
