I am having some Chai Tea today while I visit with you. My mother-in-law first introduced me to Chai Tea many years ago. It was a favorite of hers. I never cared for the taste, although Nel and her brother love it. But I recently tried the Good Earth brand, and I'm enjoying it. My mom's favorite candy bar was PAYDAY, and when my son brought me a Chocolatey PAYDAY one afternoon, it made me smile. There is an old wagon in the middle of main street that is decorated for the holidays every year. It looks like a pioneer wagon, and is really festive this year with Fall colors. I don't know how old this wagon is or what year it came about, but I was told it's from the 1800's. Many of you know that's my favorite era, so this wagon gets my attention every time I drive down main street. It rained for us on Saturday, which pleases us with the drought conditions we've had. It's always fun to see all the different Autumns on our friends' blogs each year. Some of the states that had the prettiest colors I thought were Massachusetts, Virginia, Vermont, but my favorite came from my friend, Jeanie's, state of Michigan. Oh, the Fall colors that grace her area are incredible. We had a late start here in the mountains, but I'm beginning to see the trees change their color now. And here is a little of Autumn in northern California.
.......and a photo that Jess took in So Cal, just cause I thought it was lovely.

I laughed out loud at the picture of the girls with cauldrons on their heads. Too cute. There is no stopping fall. The winds start whipping and then the leaves do their dance. I love the fall colors.
Lovely post;-)
I saw that video on the news - in Eastern Shasta County. They’re out there!
Your photos embraced Fall - here in Shasta county, a few trees are turning - temps have definitely dropped. We only got up to 69 yesterday and there was a light dusting of snow on Lassen and Shasta. Soon, the trees will start their progression to Fall and I will enjoy every single minute of it.
Happy Autumn!
Wow! That many mountain lions together doesn't feel normal. Drought must make them need to hunt in numbers. The wagon does have an old West vibe.
The girls look adorable.
WOWOWOW! I love fall too. I love those red orange leaves too - I don't see that color so much here.
Paydays are my favorite too - I have NEVER seen chocolate ones. Are they good?
That sandwich looked unusual the way they made it.
I am not a big fan of Chi Tea myself. I tried it though.
I watch Mtn. Men and they have one man that runs lions up in the mountain away from the city for a living.
The wagon was cool. I would like to live in that time for about a week.
The girls were cute and those caramel apples beautiful.
Lastly that street going down all those trees and the deer were beautiful.
Love, sandie
I love the shots of the awesome wagon, all decorated for fall. Yikes, Mountain Lions are scary, they attack plenty of people each year. I need to look into Chai, I will do that when we go to Wal-Mart today. I love your pretty cup, it reminds me of the Pioneer Woman a bit. The girls with the cauldrons on their heads is adorable!!!
Your autumn is especially lovely, Sheri. I love when it just begins to pop and you are seeing the green-and yellow leaves. That pine cone image is gorgeous and that wagon is the best! All those pumpkins and leaves -- just glorious. Three cheers for the wonderful deer, too. Thank you for this glimpse into your world. It's a lovely spot to be!
I love those big pinecone!!! I like to pick up pinecones when we travel, I do not have any that big. ;-)
Thank you for sharing about the mountain lion, very interesting.
Hello dear friend
How funny is the photo of the girls! They are so sweet.
All your photos are so beautiful. The deer is just stunning, and all the Autumn leaves. I have always wanted to live where I could watch the seasons.
How lucky you are.
The candy apples... Brings back sweet memories of mom making them when I was a child.
Thank you for the beautiful post.
blessings,
Penny
whoa look at those mountain lions!
Cuties, beautiful happy smiles.
We were talking about Halloween candy with the kids tennis coach and she mentioned loving payday as well. It's such an old school candy, I don't think I've even eaten it.
ps. chai means tea, so chai tea means tea tea. Just saying.
Your Fall colors are quite gorgeous. I would definitely smile and pause each time I saw that colorful wagon in your town. Yummm to a Payday, Chai tea, and caramel apples. Fall is just so festive right now, isn't it?
Sheri, your photos are always so lovely. I really think Autumn is lovely in your area! The old wagon is gorgeous and a lovely part of your town. I must say the mountain lions are frightening to see, though magnificent! Boy do those candy apples look beautiful. I love Chai tea with a splash of cream, delicious! I must look for your brand. My favorite is Ultra Spice Chai by Twinings. Have a happy week, dear Sheri.
How absolutely beautiful!!! Your autumn is gorgeous, my friend. Thank you for sharing those photos. And would you believe I have never heard of a chocolate Payday???
It looks like you're enjoying these Fall days Sheri! All of your pictures are lovely!
I’m about 100 miles from the NC mountains. I have not been up to the mountains in years because my husband does not care to go that direction and we end up 200 miles the other direction to the beach.
They say the leaves are beautiful this year as it seems they are more vibrant every other year. This must be the year.
I love seeing all the colors around here.
Your candy apples look so good.
Lisa
Hi Sheri,
It does look like fall has finally arrived there. I saw the video with the mountain lions. My daughter likes Chai Tea too. Cute picture of the girls and their cauldrons!
Lots of lovely Autumn leaves, Sheri. What a beautiful season it is. The red maple tree is superb, and a few deer making an appearance adds to the charm. Gosh, those mountain lions really are lions! I would be terrified of them coming around our house. I have never had a caramel apple, but clearly, it is something I must do. Have a good week.
I love the leaves
Good morning Sheri! OOOH I love and remember Jeanie from Michigan but since I stopped blogging, I have only kept two to three blogs on my radar; I just don't have time to be on blogger too much. But what a joy it is to see your lovely area! Ruben and I have been going out everyday to see the foliage that I have not had a chance to go out on my own to capture the amazing colors of a Minnesota fall. It is stunning here too.
The girls just look so sweet!!!
Thank you Sheri for your kind words. I love that song also.
Oh that is great, I hope you enjoy your Christmas in California.
Blessings to you and family
Stunning pictures! Your Grands are adorable...Such fun!
Beautiful blog
Hello Sheri. Your photos look great. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day :)
Owww i wish i could drink that tea with you together …mmmmm that chocolate sees ok….love from me happy autumn 🍀🧡🎃🌻🍄🍁🌾🌽🍂🐾
What wonderful, wonderful pictures. I love that old wagon, too. I grinned big when I saw the pictures of your sweet grandgirls. It seems like they are growing up so fast. They are darling little girls!'
I just can't do the Chai tea although I have tried to like it several times. Then, after my blood work it shows that tea products cause a huge spike in inflammation for me. So-that being said-I am kind of glad I don't like it. Thank goodness coffee was negative for any response for my system. lol
Have a wonderful, blessed Wednesday. xo Diana
What a charming post, Sheri. Fall looks lovely in the mountains. Your photos are lovely. The kids are adorable. Those caramel apples look yummy, too. Yes,vit is important to treasure each day of fall. You are doing that, Sheri.
I loved those photos of your granddaughters, Sheri, almost too adorable. And the caramel apples and sing autumn to me. A lovely post.

Fall is beautiful where you live, Sheri! I too am in love with deer that come to our yard every evening. There's something so vulnerable about them and those eyes tug at my heart. But I think I'd pass on any mountain lions, wouldn't you? It was lucky for your brother-in-law to film them though.
I also enjoyed seeing the post of Nel and Mia's trip to the UK, what a beautiful place Durham is.
Tell Francesca that my granddaughters love cucumbers too! Better than desserts!
Sheri, I understood what you wrote about the month of September being special because of memories of your mother. Next month would have been my mother's birthday and oddly enough, November is my favorite month of the year. We were both blessed to have our wonderful mothers.
I do love your photography, Sheri. Year round you have some of the prettiest!
Best to you,
Dewena
I adored the photos of the sweet kiddos with the pots on their heads Sheri. Big smile here and what lovely Fall images you have shared with us today! Amazing to see those mountain lions. Very enjoyable post and a treat to see each and every photo. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend coming up.
Hi Sheri, I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful photos of fall. The wagon is so pretty with all the fall gatherings and the scenery there is gorgeous. I haven't had caramel apples in a very long time - I don't think I could eat them without making a mess of myself. Haha! I think you have to be in the right mood to have Chai tea - it has to be sufficiently cold outside :) It is getting cold here, but I am welcoming it after the long, hot drought we've had in the west this year. Love seeing the deer, but those mountain lions look hungry to me. Most likely a female with 3 juveniles - they stay with mom for two years. I love this time of year - so pretty and the light is really wonderful. Soon enough it will be winter, so I am soaking it all in. Your little grand-girls are so sweet xo Sending hugs xo K
Sheri, autumn looks beautiful in your area. The photos of the wagon are so lovely. We have deer always grazing in our pasture and occasionally see a bobcat, but wow a mountain lion is definitely scary!
Sheri...just catching up. Wow those mountain lions are big. Have never seen any close up before. Love your fall pics and the deer. They are such sweet animals. The candy apples look absolutely delicious!
