Remembering Mea In March

This post will be all over the place, and that's how it is sometimes in our everyday lives, isn't it?

We had our third snowfall since I moved to the mountains, and it was a big one.  I think Spring comes a bit later here, but I don't mind, as I want to experience each season to the fullest and see everything that comes with it.

The neighbor's house across the street has red lights hanging on the back porch area of their house.  At first I thought it was just for Christmas, but it's already March, so maybe they leave them up all the time.  It looks really cool looking out the window very early when it's still dark outside.

I loved all the comments shared on my kitchen window post, and was surprised and happy to hear that so many of you had kitchen windows too.  Out of all the houses I lived in, I only remember one or two houses having them.  Here is a picture of my kitchen window when it's snowing outside.

I will forever remember my dear friend, Mea, who passed away.  Spring always reminds me of her, as her birthday is the first day of Spring.  This is a picture of me and her at Starbuck's.  She's making a face, but that's just her, a lighthearted gal.  I miss you, Mea.

I am a minimalist when it comes to decorating, and I'm not really a pastel kind of person, so most of my Easter decor is purple.  Although, I do have a few light colored things I put out.  This year, I put my yoga bunnies on the mantel.  They crack me up.

A lovely picture given to me by Kim at Daisy Cottage.

This is my favorite Easter item.

My niece, Katie, gave this to me, and I have kept it all these years.  It came in a gold decorative box.  She said that the dark rich colors reminded her of me.

I need to get more candles, I'm running out.  I haven't been out shopping in a very long time.

My dear blog friend used to make lovely, creative tags.  She sent me many tags in the mail, and this was one of them.  I placed it in my purple jewel frame.  She doesn't blog anymore, but she is such a creative artistic person.

My playful area.  I still have all my children's books and some of the Easter decorations when they were small.  Little by little, I will give them all to them, but when I'm ready.  ; )

My neighbor, Lisa, asked me if I wanted a loaf of sourdough bread that she got from Costco.  And of course I said, "sure!"  It was really good, but it doesn't compare to Renecke's homemade sourdough bread.   Oh, how I miss his fresh bread.  It was incredible with butter and honey.

My little leprechauns.

Mia's shirt says, "be a rainbow on a cloudy day."

I recently got an e-mail from a friend asking me how I'm doing.  I haven't heard from her in a long time, but she's always been a dear friend of the family.  I was so happy when she said she was going to write me a letter and tell me what's been going on with her and her family.   We don't usually get notes or letters in the mail any more, so this came as a pleasant surprise, and I appreciate her taking the time to write me a letter.   I look forward to reading it.  Have a very good week, friends, and I hope you are doing well this Easter season.

Good morning dearest Sheri.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend; that has to be a shock, a life-changing experience. Our friends are jewels in our treasure box of life....

You know that where I live, spring comes late as well. We are far from having a true spring but it's been warm off and on, windy, rain, snow, cold. But we have hope, as the garden has hope that the seeds within its bosom will push forth the trials that the top soil has to endure while all the while, down deep is where all the growth occurs.

Be blessed as you enjoy the simple, powerful things of your being.

I am sorry you lost your friend. She had a wonderful birthday though. Spring is my favorite time of year. I love your bunnies. Sourdough is my favorite. I have not tried the one at costco. I make my own or get fisherman's warf style at the store. Homemade is the best though. Enjoy your week!

Gosh you sure got a lot of snow - we are near 80 today but will cool down later.
I love those yoga bunnies - just something so cute about them.
I also love John 3:16.

Dear Sheri you got a beautiful snowfall. It most likely doesn't last too long this time of the year. I know when we get a spring snow it may be gone in a day or two. Your leprechauns are so cute. Sorry to read about your dear friend. We may lose them physically in this life but we never lose them in our hearts. God bless and have a great week. Hugs!

It sounds like you're loving your life and home Sheri. I'm surprised it's still cold in South Carolina, but that will change soon! I'm sorry to hear about your friend, but you will always have memories to keep in your heart.

Hi Sheri, you received a lovely snowfall! Thanks for sharing the photos. It is nice that your neighbor shared the bread with you. I am sorry about the loss of your friend. That is a treasured ic of you both. I also enjoyed seeing your granddaughters. The framed Bible verses are beautiful. I love the Little Golden books....I read so many of them when I was little and really enjoyed the sweet illustrations, during COVID, a handwritten letter or thoughtful card from a friend is really special and appreciated. Have a blessed afternoon,☕️

Like i have explained to my son, here in the south you have an image of what you think Calif is all about. Being most movies and shows are filmed in sunny LA, that is how you think of Calif. Hearing about snow in Calif is so strange but I never really considered North Calif. You have an amazing about of snow. WOW...I love it. Cory called one day last week and it was snowing in the desert of San Diego on his was to work. What is even more unthought of for me is to think of you in Calif having snow three times to our one and you having so much more in that snow then we did in ours...So funny. I love the pics of the snow at your sweet new place. Can't wait to see what spring brings. By the way, we are in FULL BLOOM here in Nashville. I have been out working in the yard. ENJOY...ENJOY...ENJOY.

I love this post! It’s just like a conversation with a friend! Sorry to hear about the passing of someone dear to you. The snowfall appears to be serious! We’ve had very little here, though we did have a “white Christmas!” Those yoga bunnies brought a chuckle! I’m holding onto books, too. Guess it’s time to pass them along....gradually. Happy days to you!

So nice to visit with you and share in the little and big things of your life in the mountains! We have been having lots of sunshine here recently, but today we had 2" of snow, which all melted by afternoon. Spring is full of interesting weather! Your little Mia is just precious! That smile! I enjoyed seeing your beautiful treasures. Such precious memories in each one! I'm sorry about the loss of your dear friend, glad you can remember her birthday on the first day of spring. Sending many blessings to you :)

The snow pictures are incredibly beautiful Sheri. It looks so serene in your neighborhood. I enjoyed seeing all your Easter items - in fact, I love all your seasonal decorations when they appear. How fun to still have the children's books, and one of them we had too: The Fuzzy Duckling! That made me smile. The little girls are growing up too. Isn't it lovely to enjoy their childhood, and remember our own little ones.

Hello dear Sheri! Thank you so much for visiting my pink post. As soon as I reach a certain point, I won't be posting but I will always visit. Our spring is coming sooner than normal, yes! The pink trees on my photo are from last year but the dress, I took that photo by the lake this past weekend. We are almost into spring mode!

Your yoga bunnies crack me up. Those are Fabulous!!!

You have had your share of snow, haven't you? For a woman not used to it, you're thrown right in it. But it really is beautiful. I'm no snow fan but I do love the way it looks!

I'm sorry about your friend, Sheri. We miss them always, don't we?

I'm so sorry about your friend. It is hard to lose a good friend, it's like a part of us is missing. I hope tha good memories are a bit of comfort for you.
I never had a kitchen without a window, I can't even imagine what that would be like. My kitchen has two windows, a big one in the breakfast nook and a smaller one over the sink. I love to look out while I'm doing the dishes.

Dearest Sheri, thank you so much for coming to my blog. Oh my. I think you might be the only one left who comes!

Purple is the color of your world right now and rightly so; it's the color of royalty. HUGS!

I love your snow pictures! Your granddaughters are so adorable. I love a post like this that is all over the place. But hard for me to remember all I want to comment on. But got to tell you I love your yoga bunnies...they make me want to giggle.

Look at This Post and tell me which book you think I got it from. It was one of Sarah's favorite books when she was little so I made a pattern by looking at the book, and made her a quilt. There is nothing left but rags.

So, I made the little one for Lorelei, but she never cared a lot for the book.

oh, I meant to tell you I loved the robin photos you sent me.

I can imagine how cold it is to live in a mountainous area that has three winters.
The snow view from your kitchen window is so cool.
I also like the minimalist room decor, because the room will look neat and clean.
Your daughter is sweet and beautiful. So happy you have her.
Spring has arrived and how is the atmosphere of spring in the mountainous area where you live?
We only have 2 seasons here which are summer and rainy.
Have a nice weekend
Regards
