Let It Be

Many years ago, I went through a difficult time.  Now, this wasn't like 'my car broke down and had to walk home' difficult time.  This was more of a 'painful and life changing' difficult time.  I wrote Mother Mary a letter, and shared my thoughts and feelings with her.  I remember asking "Why?" in the letter.  That afternoon, I took a nap while my kids were still in school, and when I woke up, I hurried to pick up my son from school.  It seems that whatever I was doing, I was never late picking up my kids from school.  On the way there, a song came on the radio, and I listened to it the whole way there.  This is what is was.

I thought it was so pretty when the sun was shining through one day on my statue in my bedroom.

Whenever anything bad happens, I am the first one to spring into action and try to fix it or make it right again.  But through the years, I have learned that sometimes it is best for me to just let it be.

A lot of us are used to jumping into a situation to make it better! This has been hard to have to 'wait it out' for things to get better. I'm a doer....but I'm staying busy so that helps. I find plenty of things to do and that keeps me going. Take care and thanks for sharing this. It helps to know we are in this together! Hugs, Diane

Sheri this post is so inspiring. I went through a rough patch last year and I learned to let stuff go. You're right, sometimes you have to let things be. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Sheri,
I really liked this. I remembered the song of course - but to hear it now - was a good time - with a whole different meaning. It was a great reminder.
Thanks,

NOssa Senhora, NOssa Mãe Maria !!
quantas vezes à ela pedimos, rezamos e esperamos !!
sempre nos acompanha com seu maravilhoso manto azul .
A NOssa Mãe Maria passa na frente, e resolve tudo que não
conseguimos resolver .
grande abraço.

This is beautiful and of the heart, Sheri. We could all learn a lot of lessons if we would let it be.

Wise words indeed....though sometimes easier said then done ;-) I think as moms we always want to "fix" things and try to make them better for those we love and then we realize its not always possible to do. Love the picture... thank you for sharing.

Blessings,
Jill

Amen, Sheri. I have walked those paths, too, as you well know. Sometimes we cannot take control and just have to Let It Be. Stay safe, my friend. xo Diana

"Let it Be" is a good life lesson, dear Sheri. I love this post! It's a good reminder during this time as we all shelter in place. Take care of yourself.

It truly sometimes is the best to just let it be. We can't really change much about the situation anyway, but we have control over HOW we deal with it.

Keep fighting, Sheri. Let what happens let it happen, at least we have a bright hope tomorrow is better than today.

Good morning dear friend!

As we walk longer on this earth, we are each offered a jewel. Some take the jewel and hold it tightly, others discard it, others forge it into a crown. I have learned that one of the most valuable gems is priceless, far more beautiful than a diamond. That is wisdom. It sparkles, its weight is immense, but those who know how to use it are creating for themselves a crown of glory.

You are becoming a queen.

Dear Sheri,
What a heartfelt post. I love the photo of your statue.
Yes, I know as Mother's we always want to fix everything possible. But it is sometimes not in our control. So what to do, just as you said... Let it be.
I hope you and yours are well.
Stay safe,
blessings,
Penny

No sweeter words of wisdom right now. We finally watched the movie Yesterday last night, and this morning let it be has come across my path in many ways today.

Hello Dear Sheri. I LOVED this post. Listening to the song brought tears to my eyes. Mother Mary ALWAYS comes through for us, doesn't she? These are such difficult times for all. It's refreshing to read a post like yours today because it gives me hope. Hugs. Susan

Sheri - it is so hard to let things just be...right now I think we realize that there is a sense of helplessness that we don't like. Great post friend reminding us that God has us covered and we are silly to think we ever were in control. Hugs!

"Let it be." is a great idea when you need to see problems objectively. This attitude would not make them more complicated. Happy days to you and your family.

I'm with you Sheri there are things that we just need to let them be,
we can't do anything but wait.
Stay safe ♥

Let it be. Sometimes hard to do, but sometimes it is the right thing to do. Or rather to not do.

this was TOUCHING DEAR friend

though the years i have learnt it that all i can do is "to try my best means BEST!!!) and than it no longer my job to do ,i have to leave it rest on him and accept the result without being complainant .

i believe by the time Lord reveals how it was good for him on one hand ,on the other hand if we ask for His help ,he gives us strength to try and turn that bad looking result into our favor and i am speaking this through my experience
stay as precious and strong as always!
