On Top Of The Hill

There are rolling hills in my town, and it's one of the features that I really like living here.  As I drive to the top of the hill, I see trees that have been here for over a hundred years, enchanting sunrises, and the pink blossoms that only come once a year in Springtime.  It is a place of peace for me, and I visit at least once a week.  My nephew brought me some homegrown oranges and lemons from a friend's tree.  They were juicy and so tasty.  I've been wanting this candle from Kohl's, as I love home and the scent of lilac.  Here are some pictures from on top of the hill and a few others at home.

I told myself that I wouldn't overindulge on the
grandma pics, but how could I not when Jess and Nel send me pictures like this?  Little Francesca with her pigtails having a tea party with her stuffed animals.  ; )

And Mia with her cousin warming up by the fire in a cabin after a snow day.  I love the look of wonder on her face at the stuffed animal machine.

Baked a strawberry cake,
and it was the most Yummy and moist one I've made.

I know it's a little early, but I'm having the best time making Easter bags for the little ones.  Here's a peek so far.  Found this bunny, and his head is big, but his body is small.  He's so soft and cute.

I may want to keep him for myself.  ; )

In flat Michigan, at least this part of the state, hills aren't so common. There are more up north -- and I do love them. Love the pix of Mia and your cake must be so delicious!

If I had girls for grands I would be majorly broke! Love those pink bunnies. Francesca in those pigtails is adorable and Mia looking at all those toys is so cute! When did you see that pink of a sky? Our cherry trees are blooming too. Hey I notice you like sweets - how do you stay so thin! I am jealous.

I am making a strawberry cake tomorrow! What did you do to make it so moist?

You are a wonderful photographer, by the way!

Sheri,
Spring is almost sprung! And your entry gives a feel of the season change. While it's still sub zero temperatures, the photos you captured really create a warm ambiance. Love those pink blossoms!

Dear and sweet friend, GOOD MORNING! Isn't it wonderful to have a place where you can find a peaceful moment? I love what you do: you go out with your camera to find something natural, unstaged and magical to capture. I am confined to staging my plans and I get descent results, but when my summer vacation comes around, I will try what you do: just go out and let nature call me to find something special. And before we know it, Easter will be here and the fun will begin! Love and hugs to you!

Hello, Sheri, I've been away from blogging for a while. So nice to come back and see your beautiful world. That amazing sky and those pink blossoms are so beautiful. The hilly scenes remind me of the English countryside (I've not been, but in movies it looks like that!). It's always nice to have a place that brings peace to your soul. This world can be a challenging place sometimes. How precious are your two little granddaughters - they just melt your heart. That little bunny is going to be loved, I'm sure. Sending you warm hugs, my dear. xo Karen

It's good to have some hills in town. Do you walk up there? The blossoms are spectacular - we don't have quite as many right now, but it won't take long. Your grandkids are cute - I love that she's doing a tea party with her stuffed animals. Have fun with making those Easter bags.

Sheri,
OMG tea parties are so fun! I used to have them with my kindergarteners. I like this series. The dramatic pink sky, pink blossoms, and pink cake! Good job in putting those together.

P.S {I like how you inserted the rabbit as a sign of spring on the horizon} :P
