First Signs Of Spring

Had a hard week dealing with some family stuff, and it always makes me feel better when I go inside my church and stay for awhile.  I lit a candle for each one of my family, and it gave me comfort being there.

I know many states are still having a lot of snow and rain and cold, but here in California, this is what I've been seeing lately.

There is a BIG field of yellow flowers near Jess' house, and every Spring they start to bloom and look so beautiful.  Francesca looks so small walking through this big field of flowers.

Jess has a large pink suitcase of Trolls from when she was little.  I was happy to hear that she's going to clean 'em all up and let Francesca play with them.  It reminded me of playing Trolls with my neighbor, Linda, growing up.  I had the best time - I only had one Troll, but Linda always shared hers.  Speaking of Trolls.....Nel sent me this picture on Valentine's Day.  Doesn't Mia look like a cute little Troll?

I got a Valentine card in the mail from Jess with a $25 Starbuck's gift card.  The first thing I got was a coffee and a red velvet loaf.  The card is so cool, and it has everything I like on the front - camera, red bird, pink typewriter for writing, and the picture at the bottom reminded her of her grandma.

I think out of all the grandchildren, Jess looks like my mom the most.  She was petite, and such a beauty.   Here's a picture of her and Jess, so you can see the resemblance.

So, we've been having some sunny days.

And this is what I've been seeing
around here lately.

Are you feeling the Spring fever yet?

I am sorry you had such a hard week. I love that you feel comfort in church and are a believer. So am I.
We are having an early spring here too - we have the same pink tree blooming - is that the Cherry Tree? I just hope it doesn't get too cold again.
Mia was an adorable troll. I never got into trolls or my kids - must not have been the right timing age wise.
Gosh that card was PERFECT for YOU!
Hope for a better week.
Love, sandie

I'm sorry you had a difficult week. I bet it helps to see such beautiful springy things though. Things are starting to green up here too. Daffodils are blooming so it is feeling more like spring. I hope your week goes well.

I'm so sorry you had such a difficult week, but I'm happy that your faith sustained you and brought you peace.

Such beautiful photos! I am more than ready for the trees to begin budding and flowering. I've learned to find beauty in barren trees, but I am always ready to see leaves again!

Great card from your daughter! And that bathtub picture is too cute! Definitely a troll head!

Blessings,
Patti

Such great memories come to mind as I see your early spring, Sheri! It's been well over 33 years now since I lived in California. HOwever, living in Boston and then in Minneapolis, our springs are such a delight be we sure have to wait long and hard for them!

Those purple flowers in the last photo, they are smashing! Enjoy every sunny warm day my friend.

Hi Sheri, I don't know what that big pink flowering tree is, but it is fabulous! We have nothing like it. Mia does look like the cutest little troll, she is a sweetheart. What a great photo of your Mom - she was a beauty too. No Spring fever over here, but I would love to feel the hint of Autumn - maybe in March?

Oh, Sheri...loved the photos..I am ready for spring. Seen red-winged blackbirds and they are a sure sign spring is near. Have seen robins too. I am sorry for famiky issues....they are the ones that really bother us.

Remember Psalm 121:5. The Lord watches over you.

That was in my devotional this morn and something I need to remember.

I'm sorry you've had a rough time. It's definitely cheering when the sun is out and things are starting to bloom. Here in Chicago nothing popping up yet but the birds have begun to sing and the sun is producing at least a LITTLE warmth as it draws closer - all encouraging signs.
