Splendid November

There's still a lot of color here,
and Autumn is lingering on.

I love oatmeal cookies.  I usually put raisins in them, but was out, so I made a batch of plain old fashioned oatmeal cookies.

We don't see much of the golds here, so when I saw this tree, I had to take a picture of it.

I'm embarrassed to say that I forgot about daylight savings time, so I went to church an hour early.  Thankfully, a friendly face was already there setting things up in the church, so I had a chat with her.  Went to get some coffee, and came back.  The cross on the church gives off a beautiful light when it's dark out.

It's a little early, but couldn't resist this holiday blend.  I think blackberry jam is my favorite right now.

I wanted to show you the kids' costumes this year. Francesca was an Owl, and Mia was a vampire haha.  Francesca was a bit timid going up to the houses this year, but as soon as they gave her some candy, she giggled and ran away.

Remember afterwards when we put the candy in a pile, sorted it out, and traded with siblings?

Oh, the wonder of November.

Sheri, I loved the pictures. The little girls in their costumes , so darn cute. Sheri, when I was a young married, raising my daughters, those are the cookies I would bake. Simple ingredients and I could remember(and afford) the recipe. LOL. My girls loved them. Blessings to you my sweet early riser. :):) I forgot our clocks too. xoxo, love you, Susie

What cute little Halloween goblins! Blackberry jam is indeed yummy! Love oatmeal cookies with my tea. If I have them I put in small pieces of dried apple, but most often it is raisins. Love your fall colors. Happy Autumn!

I love all the pictures. I also am a blackberry jam fan. The kids costumes are adorable. My brother never shared his candy with me. In fact I would say he took mine. LOL Have a great week!

I LOVE THE VAMPIRE! LOL

I adore this month. All of our leaves are done with and we even had a teeny bit of snow on Sunday and we're expecting more tomorrow, but that's OK. Each season has its wonder!

Loved your pictures. I am making piece with fall, and taking the time to enjoy the colors and the beauty. Now, I need to go bake oatmeal cookies!

Oh my goodness I love each photo. Isn't it funny what colors of leaves we get in the winter depending on where we live - we do not get the reddish orange color and that is my all time favorite.
I like oatmeal cookies with raisins too.
Hey getting to church an hour early is a good thing - at least you went.
And you have the cutest owl and vampire in the world.
Love, sandie
I just got home from Cincinnati where I went and watched my 8 year old Dracula - while his parents went away for the weekend. Went to three soccer events!
Love, sandie

Oh how sweet...loving the trick or treaters pics. Your pics look great of the fall colors. I love oatmeal cookies but I love choc no bake ones the best....oh my gosh, YUMMY...makes me want to go make some now, and probably a good thing I don't have oats on hand. Yes, I am a Valentine baby. Used to tell my mom I was a sweetheart, till the day I lost her I am not sure I ever convinced her!!!! haha..

Those precious babies in their costumes!!!!
Your leaves are stunning.
Our leaves have finally left us for their winter rest.
We may see our first snowflakes soon!
Have a cozy evening, my friend.
And we put our silverware in either way, depending on who is loading!!!

What sweet costumes! I was just telling my hubby that we dumped out our candy and my Daddy got to pick out what he wanted! heehee! He always had such a fun look in his eyes but didn't ever take our favorites! Enjoy your day! And thanks for the memories!

Sheri - those granddaughters look too cute in their costumes. How fun - brings back memories of when I was a kid and gathered candy at Halloween. Smiled when you told about being at church an hour early. We had a lady come an hour late many years ago in the spring...she thought you set the clocks back instead of spring forward...we were all leaving when she arrives :)! By the way I will be over to eat some of those delicious looking oatmeal cookies! Hugs
