Purple Love

Sometimes I love the color Purple at Easter.  It's such a beautiful color to me.  Here are a few Purple items I put out for Easter this year.

My Rosary beads from the Vatican.
Jess brought these back for me
when she visited Rome.

This frame is put out every year.

I bought this brooch years ago,
and I thought it looked like a Cross.

This bunny snow globe plays a sweet tune.

I've had these swinging bunnies
since my kids were little.

Her rose bonnet makes me laugh.

And some Pink.....
I call her Skinny Bunny, and she reminds me of Jess.  My almost 9 lb. baby turned out to by my smallest and thinnest child.

Yes, Purple at Eastertime is so lovely.

My mother loved purple/lavender and had many home decor items in those colors as well as flowers in the garden. One of my favorites is the lilac bush. You have some real treasures pictured here. Prayers continue for you, your son and your entire family. xo

What a beautiful idea Sheri - of course purple at Easter, for the Passion of the Lord. I love the brooch and the rosary beads out on display. The purple flowers are gorgeous. Over here, a few bunnies about the house, but I see I need to move it up to the next level :)

I really do love the color purple - it just is so relaxing and I think of lavender and what a nice smell it has.

I love all your little decorations. Bunnies are sweet. I love the swinging bunnies.

I love those purple flowers too.

I looked up what purple meant at Easter time in the bible:

Purple is used for two reasons: firstly because it is associated with mourning and so anticipates the pain and suffering of the crucifixion, and secondly because purple is the colour associated with royalty, and celebrates Christ's resurrection and sovereignty.

A wonderful color! Sandie

I think of Spring with purple and green. Those pansies are beautiful. Did you grow them? The brooch is beautiful! Yes, the Cross! The reason we celebrate. Without death there would be no resurrection!

It's the color of royalty, for sure! I'm so excited....on Easter Sunday, I will be going to the Basilica of St. Mary in downtown. It's pure pagentry and I love it. Lots of purple banners, candles, choir, organ, all the lovely things I remember about going to church with my parents. Oh dear friend, I love this time of year.

Purple is a such a rich color and I always associate it with Easter. You have quite a nice seasonal collection. Your cup is a gorgeous hue of purple and rosary beads are so special...How wonderful that Jess brought them from the Vatican for you. The brooch does look like an antique religious cross from victorian times...Of course, Bunny decoration are always my favourite. I love the little rabbits sitting on the swings( ha ha) They made me smile. I can’t wait for Spring to arrive so that we can get into the garden...so THANKS for sharing the beautiful posies. Have a fabulous week, my Friend...Hugs

I love this post Sheri ♥
Purple is my Mom's Fave Color
which of course is the color of my parent's bedroom.
My father can't do anything, purple it is but with a lighter
shade for them. John 3:16 is my husband's favorite verse
and I do believe the only one he memorized :)
I grew up loving that verse and memorized it by heart
I think since the time I can memorize. The bunnies are
super cute and the flowers look divine.
Have a wonderful April ♥

Beautiful! I'm a 'closet' purple lover haha! I've always loved it but felt like it was an "old lady" color hahahaha! I have a little powder room that is purples and greens that started because of photos I took of wild violets in the woods one year. The purples and green leaves were so vivid . . . and well, one thing led to another and I have a little room of purples. Growing up one of our Sunday school teachers Mrs. Dyak LOVED purple. Purple coats, shoes, hats, gloves, you name it. I always think of her when I see purple anything :).

Being that purple is my FAVE color I have to say I love your items! I love the brooch....I love old looking things! Might be why I love ME! haha.....My mom bought me a new comforter and pillows over a yr ago, it has purple in it. I was holding off using it till I redid my room. It is still packed up. I need to get that done.
