A Cup Of Tea In One Hand

My son is doing better and healing nicely, and I want to thank you all for your prayers.  It was comforting for me to read your comments and e-mails, and it was so special to get a card in the mail from my friend, Carla.  I am blessed with blog friends like you who are always there with a kind word and a caring heart.  Here's some pictures of nature, which I hope to visit again very soon.

After a long week of taking care of my son and getting his strength back, it's time for me to rest.  A cup of tea in one hand, and a brownie in the other, I think I'll watch a lighthearted show.  Love the characters from the town of Mayberry, and isn't Opie the cutest little guy?

Tomorrow is a new day,
and grateful
is the word that I'll whisper today.

Your wonderful photos reflect all the beauty of spring, Sheri. I will be looking back at posts I missed but I'm glad to know that your son is healing and of course the prayers will continue. Perhaps with spring it will be even easier to heal -- there is something affirming about flowers, birdsong and sunshine.

I am so glad you son is doing better. I know that is a big deal.

I just have to tell you that your nature - your trees and flowers and geese are beautiful. I went to put flowers on my mother and brother's grave today. They are in a beautiful cemetery that has ducks and we fed them.

I like The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock.

Have a good day in all that beauty.

Sheri, That is great that your son is healing and feeling better. It is nice that you were there for him. Your photos are all wonderful. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the sun shining through those pale pink trees is really beautiful. Thank you for your kind comments. Have a blessed week.

I'm so glad your son is feeling better, Sheri! I hope each week sees him doing better and better. And you feeling calmer and more rested. As a mother of three sons, I can understand why you love little Opie. Of course our daughters are our darlings too, right? And no matter how old they get, they are all still our babies.

Your nature pictures are gorgeous, as they always are! I had to scroll back for a second look on many of them, especially the birds.

Darling Sheri, I just had a very lovely experience right now, scrolling through your feed. It was almost like an epiphany. On my blog,I use music and sparse words, but here, the music of your perfectly captured photos was all I needed to experience what your soul is aiming to say. I don't know how to express this inner experience, but your photos said it all.

So thankful to hear that your son is healing up nicely. What a scare it has been for all of you, but so thankful that he is going to be well again. Such good news that your son is recovering ... It's so scary when your children are sick and hurt...Mom's brownies always make life better... It looks like everything is moving on positively especially with Spring. Your Cherry trees are gorgeous...They remind me of Cherry blossom season in Japan when the streets are filled with cherry blossom petals...

OMG... all of your photos made my heart skip a beat ... We are experiencing more wintry weather( 15-30 cm of snow) which is unusual...Your post made me smile... the Andy Griffith show is just the best and always cheers ... I have the Mayberry cookbook too... It's been a stressful time for you and your family ... but it seems that the ' bluebird" of happiness is knocking at your door ...Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures and encouraging news... I will continue to pray for you and your son... Big Hugs

Such beautiful photos that you posted here.
I didn't know about your son (I was away from blogland for a couple weeks) and I'm sorry that he was in a car accident. That must have been awfully scary and I'm glad that he is doing better and hope he is healing quickly. Our kids is the most precious thing we have. Thinking of you.

LOVE all the pics......LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. You do know why birds are usually always facing the same way, right? Well if not then let me tell you, they all face into the wind, if they sit the other way, the wind blows up the back feathers making it hard to get up and going. I have told that to people over the yrs and all of a sudden I will get a message that says everytime they look at birds on the line like that, they think of me. NOW you will never look at birds on the line wihtout thinking of me...haha
