Christkindl in the City

We went to the Christkindl Market in Atlanta last weekend. It's modeled after the big Christmas markets in Germany.

They had festive stands selling sweet treats like gingerbread and mulled wine and traditional German fare like bratwurst and currywurst.

As the band played "White Christmas" it started to "snow." It was so magical, but we're still hoping for some real snow this year.

The next day we were still in the holiday spirit, so I made some sugar cookies...with a little help.

Mia put her mark on this batch.

Only 9 days til Christmas! Are you ready?

I bet Mia was amazed by all the colorful lights! She looks sweet all bundled up for winter. Thanks for the photos from Atlanta. I went to GSU long ago. The skyline has certainly changed since then.

Nel, the market looks so inviting with goodies and snow. I love the rose header on this post with the snow--just beautiful! Mia is really growing. How fun to have her make a hand print on the sugar cookies! Have a wonderful first Christmas with your sweet darling daughter! ♥

WOW....Atlanta looks amazing. I only live 4 hours away and yet I have not been that way at this time of yr since I was a child...ALONG, LONG, LONG time ago! haha. Beautiful. Yep, would totally love to get some good snow in TN this yr. A person can hope and keep their fingers crossed. Mia makes some wonderful looking cookies....which reminds me, I need to get baking! What a beautiful tree at the market. I love the clever idea of stamping your cookies. I bet there are family members that would love having one of those cookies.

Your snow slipped right by us in Nashville but my cousins in Atlanta and the Carolinas loved theirs.

This must be such a wonderful Christmas for you with your beautiful daughter!
